Ardmore Golf Course

About
Ardmore Golf Course is a nine-hole course that offers challenges for both inexperienced golfers as well as more seasoned players. The layout features two dramatic 90-degree doglegs. The first is the par-5 second hole, which bends sharply to the right. Those who are fortunate enough to get the right positioning have the opportunity to go for the green in two. The par-4 seventh is the second of the extreme doglegs. It corners to the left and requires very accurate ball positioning. The golf course plays through towering, mature trees including the giant thousand-year-old Douglas firs that line the fifth fairway. They are some of the oldest trees on the Saanich peninsula. The golf course has an alternative set of tees so players have the option of playing an 18-hole round.

This course has a great Ladies group
I have belonged to the Ladies group at Ardmore Golf course for about 3 years and it has been a great way to meet people and get in some terrific golf. The course is a nine hole course but it does have Red and White tees so it is easy to get a good 18 holes in. On hole number 8 you have a choice of going across the water or not. The front staff are very friendly and the grounds staff do a good job of keeping the course in good shape. It does have some challenges for me and I do enjoy golfing there in the summertime at least 2 to 3 times a week. I would recommend it to anyone. Always love a great game of golf.
Good Course
Nice to play in this course. Will go to play again.
very slow pace
I would check if there is a tournament before purchasing again. The pace was so slow - took 1 hour to play 3 holes so we ended up playing only 14 holes.
Great nine hole layout!
This is a great little course with a number of challenges to keep your on your toes!
Members unwelcoming
Our experience at Ardmore left us feeling unwanted by members. Members seemed to go out of their way to provide instructions on 'golf etiquette' that was unwarranted and delivered in an unfriendly manner.
Good little course
This course is good when not very busy, but can get busy if you catch it at the wrong time. The staff are usually fairly goof, but I once got someone who was fairly grumpy. I will be back.
Fair, easy walk, enjoyable round
4 plus hours.......wrong!! Some people who walk should actually have a cart! Also they need to have a Marshall on the course! All you have to do is look at the yardage and a round should NOT be over 4 hours! However, I really enjoyed playing the course and will I play it again......Absolutely!
golfing at Ardmore
great conditions, a little bit of a wait as someone was giving a lesson to a friend
Good Fun Course
I joined two other golfers and had a great time. I walked and got some exercise and the weather was good until the 8th hole where the sky opened up and the rain came down, luckily it only lasted about 15 minutes and we kept playing. The course was in good condition and the greens were fast. A good course for friends to enjoy themselves.
Great time at Ardmore
Ardmore golf course is the best little course in the Victoria area
Wonderful Husband/Wife afernoon
Course and buildings are well-maintained and therefor a visual scene greets the eye. Great for the average golfer just going out for a pleasant game and not beat any records. Fairways are wide and open with four holes that can be difficult with missed shots. Greens were in good shape. Pro shop has all the necessities and a little more with friendly staff to help you.
Great little 9 hole course
This is a lovely little 9 hole course that is a legitimate golf course, not a pitch and putt or an "executive" course. Play can be a little slow at times, lots of beginning golfers, but, hey, we all had to start somewhere. There are separate tee boxes for front and back nine that help to mix things up a bit. Course is in pretty good shape and has been improved a lot over the past few years. It's not very long, but it is long enough for you to use all your clubs. Overall great value and a nice venue.
well maintained
always fun to play, Ardmore is a good bang for the buck, you can use every club in the bag
Great value
Got this for $18+$3 golfnow fees. Great value. Course was in great shape and would consider going again. Staff very friendly. The day we played though, some large group apparently slowed things down by 30 minutes...we waited for every shot. Staff acknowledged the slowdown, but didn't do much about it.
Good value for the money
Great place to learn the game of golf. Very few hazards in your way. If you are wild off the tee you still have a chance to shoot a good number.
Nice fairways
I thought the Ardmore course was a delightful 9 hole course, with some interesting challenges, and well groomed fairways and greens
The course and staff were helpful and very freindly
The young dark haired fellow working as the starter in the shop was absolutely fabulous. Friendly, informative and very accommodating to our needs. We've been playing Ardmore for years and it's employees like this young man who help make a round of golf doubly enjoyable. He deserves a pat on the back. We'll definitely be back.
Fun!
For a 9 hole course, some of the holes of course if you didn't stay in the fairway you barely could find your ball, the grass was very long on the sides and the white dandelions made it even harder to find your ball! Good to walk and we did the 18 cause we got such a good deal on Golfnow!
easy course to walk
Due to wet spring the roughs were very long and if you hit your ball just off the fairway it was easy to loose your ball ( happened twice and was quite frustrating). Greens were in pretty good shape and the coarse was an easy walk. 9 holes, played it twice and did much better the second 9.
