About
Nk'Mip Canyon Desert Golf Course (previously known as Cherry Grove Golf & Country Club) is so-named for its diverse landscape that begins on natural desert and smoothly transitions into lush canyons and valleys. In the centuries prior to the course's construction, the Okanagan people referred to the scenic landscape as Nk'Mip, which roughly translates to "flat bottom land at the mouth of the creek or river." Preserving the stunning natural features, including the abundant native flora and fauna, was one of the top priorities when the Osoyoos Indian Band developed the course into a championship layout in 2001. Despite tumbling across a variety of elevation changes, the golf course is easy to walk and provides stunning views of the South Okanagan Valley along the way. The course offers a fair challenge with water hazards and numerous strategically placed bunkers coming into play.

A blustery day on a beautiful course
We got a great deal on golf now to play this course and it was well worth it. The course is challenging but very playable. The course is very scenic, winding it's way through the desert, high up on the side of the mountain. We had a beautiful day and the views were fabulous but it was so windy that myself and the other lady had trouble on the long holes that played into the wind. We walked and it was fine although it would be tough if you are not in good shape. I would highly recommend this course as a must play if you are in the South Okanagan.
Some things Could be better
The staff was very friendly upon arrival. They ensured that we new where everything was. That being said. there are other parts of a golf course experience that could be better. I understand that there is not a lot of space for the driving range. So I understand that I can't hit a driver or 3 Wood because of the length of the range. So, in my opinion they would be better off asking people not to hit those clubs, as opposed to supplying limited flight balls for the range that do not let you work on your distance control. Also, here we are in mid September and we played on 2 greens that had so much damage on them that a 2 putt rule could have been put into effect. In the end though, would I come back? The answer is yes.

One of the best courses in the area
I always enjoy this course when I am in the area. The greens are always in good shape and the course has many challenges and wonderful views.
Tricky but fun
This was in excellent condition. Love the layout and the views are gorgeous. This was the first time we played it. Would love to have done it again as I now have a better idea where to place the ball. I also forgot my golf watch so not knowing the exact yardage made it tricky.

Challenging but fair
Always enjoy playing at N’kmp. A good variety of holes - from dog-legs to wide & narrow fairways, from wind aided to wind facing holes, from fast greens to even faster greens! Conditions the last few years have been very good.
Fun Course
Good Course Nice conditions.
Fun holes nothing to hard or easy. Very forgiving on most holes. Nice staff Nice facility. Really enjoyed my time here will be back ASAP
