A good challenge
Course in good condition, greens were true and fast. Like the varied layout. Used every club in my bag
Exploiting the Pandemic to Increase Profits
Golf North has treated this pandemic as an opportunity to significantly increase profit margins on public rounds. It costs, at most, $0.30 to run an electric cart per round and $1.50 to fuel a gas cart per round. They have increased their single rider cart prices from $17 to $30. They are not honouring printed prices on vouchers in the greens fee passport which players pay $80 for. Instead they have chosen to add a $9 surcharge per player. None of this is published anywhere on the Golf North website. This company is run by capitalists hiding behind the friendly faces that staff their courses. Overhead is down because of limited clubhouse use and reduced facilities. Labor cost is down because they are running skeleton crews. WAKE UP PEOPLE: stop giving these crooks your money. There are plenty of places that are honouring their vouchers and only offsetting costs if at all. Northridge municipal, Arrowdale, Port Dover, Delhi, Turtle Creek, Savannah, puslinch, tyandaga, rockway vineyards, and many more haven’t raised prices at all and are honouring vouchers. Almost everywhere except Golf North courses. These other courses understand and appreciate that most public players supporting their clubs are on a reduced income during these times and are getting physical and mental relief from having reasonable access to the game of golf. BOYCOTT GOLF NORTH.
Perfect walk in the park
Wonderfull property for a great golf course.Every hole is memorable,lots of elevation changes.Greens speed are a bit on the slower side but lots of undulations.Too bad the greens were vandalized this Spring but are on the mend.Tough to walk for most so take a cart.You will surely enjoy this layout.
