Most enjoyable
My annual game at St Andrews, made all the better by joining a group of 3 great local guys around my age who gave me plenty of local advice
The course was in great condition but beware the super lightning fast greens. It’s easy to 3 putt if you don’t adjust quickly. I did practice before hand on the putting green and thought I’ve got this. But the putting green speed did not compare to the actual greens
Still, maybe that’s me
Sp oracular views also make this a great course with super friendly people
Greens
Toughest greens I’ve ever played on. Great challenge. Thanks
Terrific course and awesome scenery
First time playing on a recommendation from a friend. The weather had been heavy rain the day and evening before. It was only a mist when I tee’d off with another single as the first group out. He had played a fee times before and offered several tips throughout the round. The course was wet, but I was still able to play my ball down, which I think speaks volumes for the condition of the course. The greens, despite the wet conditions, were quick and true. The front nine winds along the top of the property, skirting the forests. The back nine has all the spectacular views. I will be back to play again on a nice sunny day!
New Brunswick jewel
I first played Algonquin in the early 2000’s. Did not think much of it then as the course was ragged, tee boxes uneven and greens were fury. I had heard that improvements were made! And how!
This is a must play course in New Brunswick Canada. The course was redesigned a few years ago. Fairways and greens are what you would expect of a first class private golf course. Many trees were removed on the back nine which runs along a bay separating Canada from the USA. You will be amazed by the views!
The course definitely deserves to be amongst the 100 top rated courses in Canada! Loved every minute of the round!
