Quail Valley Golf Course

About
Quail Valley Golf Course was opened for public play in May of 1994.
This championship links-style course is 30 minutes west of downtown Portland just off of HWY 26. The combination of a country setting and a meticulously maintained course will make your round comfortable and undisturbed by city noise. The flat open look may give you the impression that the course is easy to play. Think again. The confident golfer will be surprised at the many hazards throughout the course.
Several grass mounds and small trees line the fairways, but the main cause for caution is the water and sand. Fairway and green bunkers are everywhere and the stealth-like water hazards are well placed.

Slow round
Stuck behind a 4 some. This group is very slow and they are at least 2 holes behind the group ahead. No Marshall on the course.
Always a great experience
I wish this course was closer to me but then again, it it was, it wotuld always be packed so maybe I'm glad it isn't. Course was in great shape, staff is always friendly, and the weather was fantastic for this time of year. Always appreciate the course layout and how fun it is to play. I'll be back again....and again.
Very nice condition
Very slow unfortunately, 2.5 hours for the front 9. Course and greens were in terrific shape. Not enough time to finish?
Kind of a weird round but.....
I love this course. It was a little soggy today (even though it hasn’t rained in several weeks). the pace of play was the slowest I’ve ever experienced so that was a little frustrating. some folks on the course seemed to have no clue what “golf etiquette” may mean, but that’s not the courses employees fault.... so a couple odd nuggets, a unique day, but I shot a 91 (personal best) while a little hungover. So yeah, still a good day.
Quail on a hot day!
This course is in pretty good condition for being so dry and hot. The fairways are a little brown and dried out...you have to pick the ball off of the turf or you will scuff it or top it. The day I played I got a lot of roll in the fairway, which is nice for a short hitter like me. Around the greens and traps were over watered, making it hard to bump and run to the firm greens. The greens here are quite the challenge, I would say half of them are very hard to read and have a great amount of break, making putting here a premium. Overall I would give it 5 stars but the over watering around the greens and traps that are shy of sand (and wet) lowered it one star.
Goldnow customer
One staff behind the counter was not kind to customer who made t time through golfnow.
Even course was opened, he made us to wait.
Quail Valley
Course was in excellent condition. Nice layout, friendly staff.
Fair but challenging.
Good course
This is a great value for what you get. It's an above average layout that has a real country feel. There are no homes abutting the course. Many of the greens have quite severe breaks, which gives this course some bite. Otherwise the layout is fairly straightforward, with some fairly easy holes. The par 3's, with one exception, are fairly short and fun plays. There is water lurking on several holes. This course is a big thumbs up.
Well-maintained Course
This Course is well- maintained and has length for a challenging round...plenty of fairway space and plenty of hazards should you stray off too far...putting greens are well-groomed, with a few slants and breaks in putting... the hazards around the apron and fairways can be a risky/reward shots to challenge your skills...
