Fox Harbr’ is a resort style golf course designed by famed Canadian architect Graham Cooke. I have played many of his courses and they are all great. I recognized many design features in his courses.
Upon entry onto the property, nothing but first class. The amenities are excellent from the lodging, the restaurant, the spa, the indoor poll and of course the clubhouse. You will not be disappointed in making the drive to North Wallace NS.
The front nine is a parkland style golf course with lots of trees and some ponds. The back nine plays like a links style course. It is situated along the Northumberland straight separating NS for PEI. You will find great scenic views. Be forewarned, bring your phone and take lots of pictures, you will not be disappointed!
World Class
This is a world class golf resort and spa! From the time you drive through the gates everything is first class. Thesis a Graham Cooke designed course and bears the familiar rolling dunes. Very few level lies. The course itself is in immaculate condition. Fairways are generous and intelligently bunkered. Greens are generous, well contoured and very fast. An excellent test of golf. Well worth a visit and highly recommend!!
Great golf with excellent lodging, dining and other activities
This Graham Cooke design has been slightly modified to take better advantage of the ocean side play on the back nine of the championship course, while the par 3 practice course sits wholly on this valuable tract of land and is a bit of a challenge in itself, especially for younger family members due in part to the often windy conditions. Nearby, guests can take advantage of an indoor junior olympic infinity pool surrounded by floor to ceiling windows allowing for lots of natural light. A mineral pool, hot tub and steam showers as well as spa services and suites that contain a large soaker tub and gas fireplace all offer warmth after a tough round. A dining room focusing on produce grown on site and fresh seafood and a pub offer good choices for all appetites. Fishers, skeet shooters and tennis players are well-served at Fox Harbr too for a complete family getaway.
