Black Bear Ridge Golf Course - Championship Eighteen

About
Black Bear Ridge Golf Course in Belleville offers a parkland layout that features both deciduous and coniferous trees lining the holes. There are pockets of dense forest that require extreme accuracy in order to avoid having to attempt a nearly impossible recovery shot from the woods. The golf course offers a great amount of variety with a good mix of long and short holes as well as more open holes with wider fairways. The design calls for the use of all the clubs in your bag with right and left doglegs and an added wind factor. In addition to the 18-hole course, Black Bear Ridge G.C. also offers a nine-hole course that is great for practicing your short game.

Awesome course - a must try
If you are looking for a well maintained and challenging course, you need to book a round at Black Bear Ridge. It is well worth the money and drive. We will certainly be returning in the future.
Great course
Unfortunately we got stuck behind a foursome sharing clubs on the front nine. Extremely slow and really interrupted the rhythm of play. Luckily they only played 9 and back nine was much better. No marshall on the course to speak to them.
Course is very nice! Great conditions and super friendly staff not a cheap round but worth the cost.
Nice course but very slow play
Friendly staff, nice course layout and conditions. Only problem was very slow pace as the group in front of us stood on almost every tee boxes talking to each other without hitting their tee shots for at least a few minutes with no one on the fairway. The cause a backlog of at least two teams waiting for tee off on most holes of the back 9.
Nice course
Spring conditions great shape.
4 foursome groups in front of me slowed the pace of play 5 hours to play.
Needs Marshals to speak to groups
Challenging course
First time here paired with a lovely couple. Conditions great fairways and tee boxes as well
Worth the drive!
Best course in the area
Travelled to the area and have played a handful of courses. This one is by far the best if you’re willing to pay more than $50-60 for 18. Superb conditions You won’t find anywhere else in this area. Layout was great, greens rolled true and fast can’t wait to play it again
It was that good
Course was fabulous.
Played with a couple of club pros from Toronto. They made the trip specific for this course, and could see why. It was probably in the best condition of any course i've played, anywhere. was challenging and interesting, and a stunning layout. would come back anytime.
Best Course, Best Value.
A private course layout offered at a public player"s cost. This course was built and designed to the standards of the best private courses and is always ranked in the top public courses in Ontario and in Canada. Challenging to all levels (the back tees will challenge the best golfers) with interesting elevation changes, and a combination of links and woodland environments. It does not get overplayed with tournaments and is therefore in excellent condition. Great practice and teaching area. This is a destination course for anyone who enjoys a great course and a beautiful setting. The money was spent on the course, not on a fancy clubhouse, though the facilities are fine.
Black Bear Ridge is by far the finest track in the Quinte region.....perhaps in all of eastern Ontario.
Impeccable turf conditions and excellent course design make BBR a world class golf destination.
Super fast and very smooth greens are its greatest asset.
The elevation changes provide great scenery and challenging shots .
Green fees and power cart for under $100 make BBR the best value you can find for a primo track...if it was in Toronto the green fees would be well over $200.
If you want golf at its very best go to Black Bear...this course is top quality.
