Lionhead Golf and Country Club - Legends

About
The Legends Course at Lionhead Golf & Country Club has been ranked before as one of the toughest golf courses in North America and the club boasts that it is the toughest in Canada. Lionhead Golf & Country Club also offers another, less demanding 18-hole course that is equally entertaining, the Masters. Legends features numerous challenges including vast lakes, cavernous sand bunkers, and tall fescue. The layout winds through a rugged portion of the Credit River Valley with steeply rolling terrain and wooded ravines, providing the golf course with elevated, undulating greens. The eighth is a notable hole, both for its beautiful scenery and its difficulty level. It is a long par 3 over a pond filled with tall bulrushes.

Great people, great course
Friendly staff. Course was in great shape for this time of year. Nice challenging track and pace of play was outstanding.
Some greens were a bit bumpy due to being punched but what do you expect in November in Canada? Glad to still be able to get out to enjoy a round.
Disappointed
Overall the course was great and challenging. I realize I played “late season” but washrooms were closed, no food whatsoever. Cart girl has reassured me that there would be food at the restaurant which was closed.
For the $$$ highly disappointed.
Great course but greens were unplayable
Great course but was not notified that greens were recently plugged and unplayable. The course and this reservation app need to advise players prior to making reservations!
Tee time
I screwed up on my dates. My tee time was a week later booked with GolfNow. Pro shop attendant was able to switch date for us even with a 2 hour frost delay.
Thanks Vic….
Great day of golf .
Thanks
Poor layout, frustrating course
Par 5’s make no sense, holes aren’t hard they’re just unfair. Tried to give this another chance after a 7 year hiatus …. Never again.
Used to be so much better
The course maintenance has really dropped off as I suppose the Kaneff group is more interested in making money through tournament play. The T box’s weren’t great, but I expect this is mainly due to the time of year. Greens were decent for the time of year, but not great as in previous years. I’m assuming this course will be developed into houses sooner than later. 2 out of 5 stars
Cart stopped
My first time at this course. Amazed by its size!
However, my cart stucked/stopped in middle of the fairway due to accidentally drove to restricted area. I couldn’t moved forward nor backward. So, I had to call the pro-shop to get me a new cart that caused me skipping 2 holes to catchup with my fellows.
Waiting the whole week to get on the course and things don’t work out smoothly then frustration is obviously present.
Legends Course
Legends Course at Lionhead is absolutely beautiful from the first tee shot off the top of the hill to the fairway way below amazing Course is always in tip top shape staff are great if you get a chance to play here I highly recommend it.
Terrible layout
Terrible course. Worst check in experience imaginable. Wouldn’t play again if it was free.
Amazing Course
Lionhead Legends Course is so beautiful tough at times. This Course is always in tip top shape. You can't beat the view from the first tee box.
Don’t bother
This course is stupid, they’ve made it super difficult just for the sake of saying that the course is difficult. Can barely see the flags, greens and tee boxes were in rough shape. Biggest issue though is pace of play there are NO MARSHALLS it’s ridiculously slow. If your gonna spend this kind of money just play glen abbey, angus glen, or even Woodington downs. And on top of everything it’s in Brampton, that should tell you everything you need to know
Great course - legends
Very much enjoyed this Playing it for the first time. Challenging holes different layout I will be back to try it again
Just horrible
For the money you are spending it should be in better shape. Fairways are awful greens have been recently air rated and they don't tell you that on any booking site. So very disappointed because the course was really nice years ago before the pandemic. RUFF is like concrete with brown grass on it. So stay away and play elsewhere for less money and better condition.
