@ $25.00 per person this was a great course. Greens were extremely quick,
Great course
I had heard good things about this course but it is about an hour and 15 minutes from where I live. Decided to take my son there for my birthday and glad I did. The person working the front counter was super friendly, took us outside and showed us around and we had a great time. The greens were the fastest. I had putted on all year, and the course was in great shape even though we hadn't had a lot of rain. We almost had the whole course to ourselves. I would highly recommend a getaway to this golf course. You will not regret it.
Beautiful Golf Course
This course is in pristine condition. Fairways and rough are beautifully maintained and greens are fast and challenging. Straight shots are rewarded but native grasses will come into play on wayward shots. Clubhouse addition is amazing and staff is always helpful and courteous. You’re missing out if you don’t play this course.
Great day of golf
The weather was great and we didn't have to wait any time.
Perfect experience
One of the best courses I have played factoring in cost, conditions, design, etc. the course is not overdone in aspect. It has a manageable length, just the right amount of movement in the greens, reasonable bunkering, and perfect amount of rolling terrain.
Must play for Kansas golf.
Things I liked:
- The course was in great condition, though some of the bunkers were still washed out from heavy rain a few days before.
- Off the tee I found the course to be quite forgiving, and some less than idea tee shots were still able to be played.
- As a faster single, a few groups did let me play thru. Thank you!
Things I did not like:
- No GPS in the carts, and the fairways yardages were inconsistently marked.
- Some signage pointing the uninitiated around would be helpful… I went from #4 green to #9 tee and didn’t realize my mistake until I was back at the clubhouse.
Things important to me:
- Their website listed their greens fees.
- I rode in a cart for this round, but absolutely walk this course next time I play it.
- Don't recall any water coolers out on the course.
- They have a quality branded ball marker.
Exceptional 18 hole course
I’m always pleased with the conditions of Spring Creek Golf Course. Fairways are excellent and greens are firm, fast and in beautiful condition. This course is very playable, but always a challenge. Native grasses come into play if you stray! A new addition to the clubhouse provides after round relaxation with great food and a variety of drinks. You’re missing out if you don’t play this course, plus the staff makes you feel welcome and valued.
Course in great condition
This course gives the opportunity on some holes to hit the ball somewhat off line without penalty, but other holes have tall native grasses just off the fairways which will grab and keep your ball. The fairways are closely mown with faster, smooth rolling greens. Pace of play was good and the staff personable and friendly. It’s a great course for the money and is easily accessible - certainly worth the time to drive there and play.
Great municipal course
At first glance you might think Spring Creek will be a fairly short, easy course. Think again. Many narrow fairways are bordered by heavy rough then tall native grasses. Many greens have significantl slope and undulations. If you don’t play the ball straight, bring lots of extra balls. Beautiful course condition and superb staff in clubhouse. Possibly the best course in Northeast KS.
