About
Clear Creek Golf Course is a flat, wide-open links-style track loaded with water and bunkers. The only sort of elevation changes you'll experience come from the ravines that route through the course and the undulating greens.
The back nine is the more challenging, spiced up by some interesting par 3s and two outstanding par 5s. Clear Creek's 11th hole goes 555 yards and involves an approach over a ravine, and No. 13 is a 584-yard monster that double-doglegs to a skinny green framed by bunkers.

A very forgiving course
Clear Creek was in good condition and the pace of play was not bad. A lot of bunkers, but in great condition and the greens mostly fine. Open fairways, not too many water hazard. I enjoyed playing there. It’s a very forgiving course.

Pace of play was terrible and no marshall
I hadn’t played Clear Creek in a while and was looking forward to returning. I was quite disappointed. There was no marshall on a Sunday afternoon and the pace was terrible. The twosome in front of us had a little kid that kept running around the fairway, further slowing things down. Seems like some of the traps were filled in.

Review
Every aspect of the course was in good condition except the greens, which are arguably the most important. “Fuzzy” and sometimes spotty greens are tough to swallow for ~$80. Otherwise, good course and conditions.

Solid Overall Golf Course
I have played here about 4 times so far. The course is always in very decent shape, and they have been doing renovations lately to improve it even more.
The course layout is fun and challenging.
The only negative thing I have to say about this place is that they don’t have ice chests in the ClubHouse. They do have ice bags that they can give you, but that just ends up soaking your clubs after a little while.
Thankfully, they do allow you to bring your own empty ice chest to put your drinks you buy from the clubhouse in.

First time in 2 years
It was my first time playing this course in two years and it was so much fun! Played with three strangers and we had a great time. Pace of play was good, could have been better but we played all 18 just past sunset. Definitely worth the value and will be back soon!

Maybe it'll be a lot better after the renovations are done

Several Holes were Under Construction....
All 18 holes were very dry everywhere including greens and fairways. Several holes were under construction and 13th hole, which is supposed to be Par 5 over 500 yards, was cut down to "280-yard-hole" because of the construction going on. The staff never mentioned anything about this and their staff friendliness score would be higher.
I would like to come back to this after they finish all the construction as the layout itself was challenging and fun place to play.

The course and staff were amazing!
Recently played and the staff and course were awesome.
The Marshalls and pro staff were very accommodating to our group and I’ll be coming back to play there soon.

Marshall’s are over the top annoying!!!
I am writing this review about a Marshall that within a period of time from the tee to the green of the #1 hole told my group we had made several infractions about the 90 degree rule the mentioned on the tee and to then stay on the path near the green as well. The guy filled our group from tee to green.
We didn’t do anything wrong at the tee to cause the guy to follow us as we played the #1 hole.
He was rude and he puts his hand on my shoulder and and said sorry I’m being so needy about the course rules but you should come back in 3 months when we are done with construction…
I asked are you kicking us out? He said no I just saying to come back in 3 months and see the place. He mentioned 1 more time to take care of the course by replacing divots and fixing ball marks….
Since I am an avid golfer and I play every place I can play in the city of Houston I can say I have never been treated like that… ever. If I had the guys name I would put it on here however I don’t and I can’t to help the next guys.
But this is unacceptable to constantly stay on our group by not making any interaction to begin with and following us down the fairway to pester 4 grown men and treat us that way.
I’ll never go back as long as that guy is going to be there. I played Saturday Nov 23 2024 mid day in case a manager sees this review.
