Fun Course-Short but Challenging
I resumed playing golf again in May after a 20 year hiatus and I’ve had the pleasure of playing Yatesville/Eagle Ridge 3 times this year. First and foremost Eagle Ridge is a beautiful and scenic place to play where you will most likely encounter plenty of wildlife during your round. This course is ran by the state park system and is always very well maintained. The fairways are not cut the shortest but they are always in very good condition and the greens are the same. The greens are always in excellent condition, but they are only moderately fast and you will have to adjust if you are used to faster greens. The clubhouse is nothing special and the carts are in need of upgrading, but they do have a decent driving range. Greens fees are low and provides an excellent value. While Eagle Ridge isn’t the longest course, it is tight and requires you to strike the ball accurately to place your shots well. If you struggle with this make sure to bring extra balls as mistakes will end up OB. There are several holes that have elevation changes, slopes to contend with and little room for error off of the tee or on approach shots. Par 5 hole number 4 is as beautiful and challenging of a hole as you will play and the front nine is more difficult of the two. If you are a long hitter, there are a few par 4s that you can reach from the tee and the back nine gives you a chance to score to close out your round. Personally, I love this course and have enjoyed every round I have played there. Give Eagle Ridge a play if you are in the area and I think you won’t be disappointed!
Very fun layout
Love this course, great value, stunning views, great conditions. It is target golf, and if you spray the ball it could be a long day. 5 sets of tees gives everyone a fair challenge.
This course has a lot to offer
Have always enjoyed the challenge of playing this course. Have not, to date, had any negative experiences. Scenery on this course is also second to. none.. Pro shop staff is exceptional and very courteous.
Challenging course
Love this course
We travel 4 hrs to play this course 2 times a year
Very intimidating but love the layout
Staff is super friendly
Bring extra balls lol
Great fun !!
This course was in great shape and the round was a blast. It is a very tough layout with placement being a key to a good score. Greens were great and the fairways are excellent. Enjoyed the day !
Affects of crazy weather
Course was in good shape given that we either have pouring rain or 100° temps. A couple of the greens are starting to be affected, but this is still the best value in the area. Staff are the best!
Great value!!
As a senior, I always look for value and this course provides it. Great rate for the Monday-Thursday senior golfer. Tough layout, excellent greens and fairways. Joy to play !
Very fun, unique course
Love this course, very interesting layout, have to keep
It in play but if you think your way around the course you can post a good number. Very nice conditions.
Latest round at Eagle Ridge Golf course
Wife and I played a round and enjoyed it even though it was a little hot and muggy. Course was in good shape for how hot it has been, and was not crowded at all. It’s a tough course but I love playing it. Wife is just starting out but she hit some good shots.and enjoyed it too! Definitely will be back soon.
