Just not well managed or maintained
I’ve been playing all the Fort Collins courses for the last 4 years and the quality has decreased extremely. We were told it was due to COVID of course but just seem to be an excuse more than anything. South Ridge Golf Club is no exception to this rule, 2023 will see the course going through a huge sprinkler system upgrade is that a bad thing no if anything it’s super promoted, the issue is that the course is in extremely horrible condition. Now with that being said we are all aware of the construction but the courses and really city of Fort Collins response is what brings the review down so harshly. I played with a few friends and former pros, and I myself bought a super pass which gives you access to all three courses at no additional cost and is supposed to have a separate tee sheet which to be honest does not exist for members which is a huge downside for 2 grand that you spend to rarely find time to get on and play is you haven’t booked out 3-4 days in advance, but if you don’t have this pass or any at all, we’ll you get to pay full price to play this course even though it’s under construction. The course also hasn’t been seeded or watered due to the system being down and in many spots become extremely unplayable. This all just boils down to the big issue of full price for a beat up product currently. The ranger situation on this course is just non-existent honestly the hold ups on this course is insane 5-6 hours to finish 18 here on multiple occasions through our playing here and the other FoCo courses all have this issue as well. Honestly it’s hard for me to recommend this course for anyone visiting, it will take a long time to finish your round and that’s if you can even find a time to get in and play. Not recommend unfortunately.
GPS issues
The course was great but this app had me playing from west Africa.
122288402 yrds was a pretty long approach shot, hahaha!. I hope this gets corrected cuz I really do like this app.
Has become a drunken iPod hacker course
I played this course many times in the early 2000s. Played it again last week and was totally appalled that the golfers we were paired with played music way too loud and were drinking way too much. One of them hit a second ball right over our heads and didn’t even bother to warn us first. We were also harassed by the guys behind us, by driving up on us as we were preparing to tee off ( we had to wait a considerable time on each shot). This course has really gone downhill and that is sad.
Don’t play in the afternoon!
I played this course many times when I lived in Fort Collins. I now live in Denver so haven’t been there for awhile, we played Mariana Butte in the morning and decided to play Southridge in the afternoon since we were staying up for the weekend. We were paired with a couple on the front nine. The gal hit a shot and we went to my ball when, to our surprise and shock, the gal hit again over our heads - yikes! On the back nine some very drunk dudes playing music very loudly in their carts screeched up beside us as we were waiting to hit. I asked them to turn the music down, which they did. On the 18th, the skidded up to us and started some nonsense harassing about how was the music, was it too loud, etc. total drunks. Of course our shots went into the crap. So we went to the drop zone, which was the forward tee box. NEVER EVER allow people to chew up the forward tee box as a drop zone. You do know that paying customers use that as their tee box, right? Don’t allow stupid people to ravage it please. Anyway, we decided that you have to play in the morning in Fort Collins with the golfers, not the stupid drunks in the afternoon.
Great Course!
Great course! An absolute joy to play when the course is in good shape. Great staff and just an all around great experience.
Always in great shape!
Had a great time playing here. Course is always in great shape and fun to play.
31/2stars. Interesting course with diverse challenges.
Fun course. Good elevation changes with some challenging holes. Excellent greens. Open yet challenging drives. Big hitters can overpower the course. Medium hitters must think their way around the course. Liked it a lot. Maintenance around the edges needs attention.
Pristine Course with Challenging Greens
The course was in great shape. They have begun aerating the greens and tee boxes. The undulating greens are on the fast side and soft.
Beautiful fall golf
The course is in amazing condition and we had a perfect Colorado fall day to play. Highly recommed!
This course is great for almost any level of golfer.
Southridge golf course has a great mix of terrain and almost every type of feature to make a fun and challenging course. Likewise, multiple holes feature can feature water challenges as well as elevation changes. While this course is one of my favorite courses to play, the driving range and chipping area are not always the best.
Great course and value
T-time was on-time and staff was extremely friendly. Will be back soon!
