Good course with some challenges
Nicely laid out course with several challenging holes and some that seems easy but a lot of accuracy is needed. Tees and greens fairly good condition. Can be busy mid week and definitely busy weekends, so be prepared. Club house nice and staff friendly. Club is part of a bigger corporation called Burr Hill, so generally there’s money to plough back in to course and facilities
Average
Handy for me from work in centre Mk I fancied a local early evening round.
It's a nice course, very short with some nice looking holes.
It's generally in good nic tee to green. Greens run true but are quite slow. The condition of the greens is noticeably worse on the back nine.
I paid £14 for my round which is the most I'd want to pay. At peak times they charge £30.
For less than that I've played millbrook (24)
Staverton ,(15) kingsthorpe ( 15) and whittlebury (15) all of which are in a far better condition and offer more value for money.
Tee times
Tee times put back 20 minutes, guy in shop was telling everyone to tee off from 12.30. First tee was very congested with 6 pairs all waiting to tee off. Group in front were so slow I thought they were playing for there green jacket! After the 3rd hole the group in front had enough and walk off, which then gave some space and you were able to play then at your own pace.
Course for the time of the year was great :) fairways were in good condition, a fair few tee boxes were the winter mats, I can never play off those. About 12 of the greens were great and true. The rest were poor.
What I did find ironic was the signs all over the place telling you to repair all pitch marks - it was a mess with pitch marks.
Overall, good course.
