9 Greens
Not really an 18 hole course, two tees into 9 greens. Greens and tees are hybrid and in very good condition for time of year. Fairways mossy and hard to see much difference from rough. Enjoyable but wouldn't be rushing back.
Greens and bunkers were perfect.Staff were very helpful and the facilities were second to none, will definately go back again, many thanks
I feel bad putting this here
You could find better options without too much difficulty. On the day we discussed feeling sorry for those who are spending a weekend here. It should be of a higher standard and did use to be, but now you should look to alternatives until somebody wakes up and puts some care into the course.
Decline in the State of Course
I have played this course for decades. It was my first return since development began for entertainment centre. The course was once a well kept course offering a pleasant day out. It was sad to see it’s decline.
Save your money
Sadly this course has gone to pot, the layout is just awful why it can’t just be a great 9 hole course I just don’t know. Having 2 tees and 2 flags is a joke and it looks ridiculous. Some of tee areas look terrible. And the pitch marks on the greens are embarrassing. Zero care given by the people that play, I must fixed at least 7/8 on each green. Save your £20 and pay £40 and go somewhere decent ……. Do not waste your money
Sold off half the course
No longer a full 18 course, instead you play the back 9 twice!! Very disappointed as the front 9 looked amazing but they’ve sold the land!! Need to update the site.
Only 9 holes
Course was only 9 holes with separate tee areas and different pins. Overall poor condition.
2 loops of the back 9 only
On arrival I was not aware that the course was part closed!
ie the front 9 for renovation/refurbishment etc
apparently to fully reopen in October.
I would have appreciated knowing this fact at the time of booking! but having taken time out and including travel , I felt obliged to play; but to be honest, it was not worth the time or energy… (coupled with the fact that the course, like the majority, has been severely affected by the recent extreme heat).
buyer beware!!
Poor
The greens and tee boxes were not too bad, but playing 9 holes twice is just poor. There was a lot of areas that should have been GUR but weren't. Should never allow a 7 ball to play, it slows everyone else and to wait 15 minutes between shots was enough that after 6 holes I quit.
Just play 9 holes twice
You literally just play 9 holes then go around again. Not worth paying for 18
Review of Bicester golf club
Pro shop was shut at 1pm so couldn’t get a scorecard only then to be told the front 9 was shut so we had to do the back 9 twice, not what I paid for. Overall not the best experience
Great when it’s finished
Played here due to a good review on GolfNow, but clearly the description wasn’t up to date. 9 holes were closed for development and played the other 9 from near identical tees to complete the 18.
Clearly a resort in re development but GolfNow should have been on this. Waste of time really and would not have played if known. It was quiet which wasn’t a surprise.
Won’t trust this website much going forward
Nice course
Nice course. Only a 9 hole course played twice off different tee boxes but looking forward to when it’s all sorted and fully up and running. Greens very fast also nice course
Nice Condition
This course has been cut from an 18 hole to a 9 hole, so playing 18 holes involves doing two 9's.
The tees for the 2nd nine are slightly altered but not enough to make a difference. Although everything else was in good order, I would not recommend this course.
It's a nine hole course.
No mention when booking or even after checking in. Walked to the first only then to realise the old front mine is closed. Walked over to the 10th and then we realised you okay the same 9 holes twice. Golf now shows pictures of the closed nine and no where does it stay it's a 9 hole course.
Condition is good but playing the M40 loop twice us not ideal.
Please make it clear and get the staff to at least advise when booking through Golf Now.
Overall. Souless.
9 holes
it is not 18 holes but 9 holes X 2 which hasn't mentioned clearly from the desk. due to the price, I will use a few more time to practice but won't invite friends to play a game.
