Winter Golf
Course was in good condition and we enjoyed the round, disappointing that there was a hole closed with no notification by either GN or the guy in the pro-shop.
Fab
Glorious October day.
Fun course, bunkers (many) in great condition. Decent sand and well dug and raked although steep entry/exit for the double knee replacements among us.
Not great on course portaloo but plenty of trees, definitely preferable to Priory.
Wait till summer
Course was nearly unplayable and only 14 holes open which wasn’t advertised until you went into the pro shop. Shouldn’t be charging £25 a man when even some of the 14 holes had temporary greens in the middle of the fairway. Very poor and really bad drainage. Strongly advise waiting till summer for this one.
Suspiciously cheap
I played at the start of November. It was a crisp £20 for eighteen holes and I was little nervous as it seemed really cheap. I shouldn't have been. The course was in great shape, the grounds team have done a great job. The facilities are brilliant too. Go to the pro shop before schlepping your way to the driving range. You need to buy your tokens before heading up. The round took 3.5 hours and I started at 1.20pm. It was getting dark on the way back in. I'm not sure you'd fit in eighteen if you started later. I'll be back.
Good course
Tee off time was 1pm.
You were held up quite a bit so wasn’t able to finish the game
Winter golf
The course was I good condition considering the amount of rain we have had recently. My only dis appointment was that the 1st and the 18th was shut so only played 16 holes, we were told by the staff that we could play a few more playing 2, 3, & 4 but decided not to.
All in all it was nice to play and the course was good.
Had a great time, course was in a fantastic condition and really helpful staff. Only issue was a four ball 2 groups ahead that were very slow holding up the pace of play
Great all-round venue
Played both courses and each have their merits. They're both well maintained and the venue is great as well. Not a member but visit more often than other local clubs. Definitely recommend.
One of two well laid out courses
Played this course late afternoon on Saturday. The course is well laid out and has some great features. Started off well but eventually caught up with a 4 ball that were taking 2x as long per hole than you would expect. Some groups cut out a hole to get in front, I practiced chipping on the fairway while waiting for them to clear the greens.
Good day
Really enjoyed it great weather and enjoyable golf. Staff in pro shop very helpful.
Not for the faint hearted
This links-style course in the heart of England can be enjoyed by everyone, just be advised that you will lose a few golf balls in the long grass if your tee shot goes astray.
The staff are great, the other players on the course were friendly and didn’t put pressure on you to speed your pace of play up, and the place is beautiful so we really enjoyed being out there and learning what the Moorland course at Breadsall Priory had to offer.
The undulating ground made for exciting bounces and a few frustrating kicks, but that added to the fun of the day.
The views are absolutely stunning, the greens are lush and the course overall was very well maintained so I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good course.
Breadsall Priory - Moorlands
Excellent course. In good condition despite recent wet weather. 1st and 18th holes let the course down a bit but that's being picky.
Finished at 5.30pm but the bar was closed!
