Even though they were a number of tee mats and one temporary Green at £20 per head it still represented tremendous value for money
Great Course, will be even better in the summer
A top course with some really challenging holes.
Sadly we had 3 temps but all 3 temps played better than the standard greens at my local council course.
Main greens had just been scarified and sanded but still played well albeit a little slow.
Teed off at 11.30 and finished the round in 3.5hrs
Disappointing
Paid online then when we got there found out 4 holes were closed and another had winter greens in use…I say winter greens but it’s just a flag plonked in middle of fairway , we’d had no rain for a few days so don’t understand why half the course wasn’t playable ? Also they should inform people of these closures before they pay.
Peaceful Priory
I had an enjoyable round today. The course presented well. The greens were slow having been recently sanded but they were true and fair. The course overall presented well with plenty of character and some nice views. The round was almost spoiled by an over zealous course Marshall but otherwise it was a nice round. I’d recommend to all
Great course
Course was in great condition for November, only one temp green but only because of maintenance on the 15th green. Bar and food is very overpriced.
Outstanding
Fantastic course with some challenging holes,
Fairways and greens are in excellent condition, really worth a visit
great course but let anybody play
course was in great condition again.
pace of play was very slow
4 ball in front of us were awful and nearly hit us a few times, no shouts or courtesy to let faster groups through.
they just went round chopping.
I understand golfers learn the game by playing but this group was just ruining the course.
excellent condition
course was in excellent condition. greens were perfect and fairways lush and not boggy at all.
green keepers are to be commended on their excellent work.
Poorly maintained
I know the weather has been bad, but bunkers need raking, digging out, sand added.. almost dangerous to try to play out of.
Fantastic views and Autumn colours.
Great hotel, pool staff.
Amazing
I have played some great courses but this is right up there, fairways qnd greens are immaculate. For £45 this is the best value course ive played by quite some way. It could be 3x that price for the quality
Great course
Stunning course very well kept and very challenging
Defiantly recommend a buggy though as tiring course to walk round
Amazing course
It’s a very challenging course and the greens were in great condition. Great value for money. We stayed in the hotel at the course which I would highly recommend.
Tough course
Beautiful setting, and a superbly maintained course. This is a tough course, both high and low handicaps in our party struggled a bit. It is vert hilly if you’re walking. As a first time players on this course we found the on course signage to be particularly poor, and trying to read the hole layout of the card was tricky, should have bought a course guide. Greens quick and true. Endless wait for cars to pass on a couple of holes was frustrating.
Well worth a visit.
Couldn’t have had a better day, the course was in amazing condition, the friendliness of pro shop and the club house means we will be playing there again. The course is hard enough for the better golfer and also forgiving enough for the higher handicapper.
Not great
Only 14 holes open when 18 was advertised an some temporary greens that was very poor
Great course
Great golf course, staff is super friendly and accommodating. Great condition overall
