Perfect round of golf
Course great with lovely staff .
Good course lay out
Overall good lay out tricky holes greens rubbish need more care with green keeper
Challenging
First time I’ve played here & after reading the reviews I was unsure whether to book it. However after playing the course I was glad I did. The course is well maintained, but If you’re not accurate then you will be punished if u land in the rough. 9 times out of 10 you will not find your ball & if you do you may wish you hadn’t. I lost several balls, but still enjoyed the course & will certainly book it again. Hopefully now I know the course layout I won’t experience the same losses.
Its a bit rough out there
A trip to Bridlington Links is recommended if you can hit straight!. The fairways and greens were in great condition but this experience will be lost to the average golfer as the rough is ridiculous. US open would come a poor relation to the rough at this course. Basically if slightly off with your drive you wont find your ball. The semi rough is about 3 feet wide then it descends into very condensed knee length rough. It really wouldnt take much to get the grass cutter out to make it a fairer test and also will make the course look more tidy.
The cliff top holes were a favourite with excellent views of the bay and sea.
I am pleased we only paid £14 which is great value for money and if they cut the heavy rough £25-£30 could be charged.
Tough wind course
Decent enough condition bunkers in play are good but still quite a few GUR
Windy so course played a little difficult into the wind but still well worth the green fee
Golf course
Fantastic course. Greens need some help and please turn the wind down next time.
Brid Links GC
Course in very poor upkeep, greens in a shocking state, lost count of the number of bunkers GUR.
No pro shop, no practice green for putting.
Trying to contact the course or club as a matter of fact is a non stater.
My grandson played his first round, 16 years old, cost me ,£27, the course wasn't worth the £20 that we paid to Golfnow app.
WILL NOT BE GOING BACK FOR A LONG TIME
GUR
Course in good condition overall but a lot of bunkers GUR and have been quite a while
The course is well worth playing and great value for money
Great value for money
Course in fair condition could do with some tlc but great value for money and not often busy
Needed a cut
Played here in the past and enjoyed it however think there were areas of the course with very long fairways which wasn’t ideal.
Reform
The course was great, really enjoyed everything.
The clubhouse was great too except for all the Reform Party posters, we found them odd and out of place.
Political messaging
The course was great, staff really helpful. Really surprised that the clubhouse was decorated with Reform party posters!
Didn’t go back for beers, for that reason. Not sure how sport works in politics?
Fairway and tee boxes to long and some fairways had water on them. Overprice been to better council course.
Disappointed
Price hike was 60% since last played here 3 weeks ago and though all the holes were now open it wasn’t really justified. On the 4 holes that were now in play that weren’t last time the fairway had not been cut sufficiently well so that it was just like playing on semi-rough and the greens were still full of weeds although they had been mowed to the right level.
There were so many groups of players not adequately spaced apart that there was the inevitable bottleneck situation on nearly every hole as the play was snail pace. With the weather unfortunately completely different from the sunshine 3 miles inland it made for a wholly unpleasant experience.
Awful fairways
The fairways either had not been cut or had been cut but all the loose cuttings covered them so even if you hit a ball in the middle of the fairway you could not find your ball.
I play with brand new callaway balls and lost 8 balls so add that to the cost of the round and it is a very expensive day.
Great condition, no shop
Stayed in a lodge on the course and saw it looked in great condition. Booked early evening and all staff had left and bar closed, so had to use watch to navigate round. Tees fairways and greens all in excellent condition. Just a shame no scorecard or welcome and no shop to pick up anything required.
Great course, shame re bar
Lovely course but the bar closed before 4pm ... kitchen was closed so no food
