Not Made aware of fairway mats before booking.
Wasn't made aware that fairway mats had to be used before booking.
Winter tee bed mats also in use some holes playing over a 100yard less.
i understand its winter and the course needs to be protected but players should be made aware before booking especially about the fairway mats. Luckily we got a hot deal on golf now for £19 pp but other tee times were still full price (£25) which in my opinion isnt a fair price playing from fairway mats and winter tee beds.
Nice course and reasonably priced
First time playing Burnley GC and I was greeted by a friendly welcome from the club pro, i played just after some heavy rain and whilst it was damp under foot the course and drained very well.
The Greens were in excellent condition, it was definitely more hilly than I was expecting and the only minor downside was this menat there were a lot of blind tee shots so you had to trust your marker post off the tee.
Overall an enjoyable round and I'd definitely recommend playing here
Great Golf Course
The best golf course out of 7 courses I've played during my golf trip to UK. The scenery was amazing!! Will be top of my list if I return.
Great value for money
Played on a very nice day. We were delayed 30 minutes teeing off & pace of play was very slow. The course is in very good.condition & there are some fantastic views from many holes. Overall a very good day & very good value for money
Nice Course
1st time playing the course. Nice Chipping/driving area to warm up. Staff amd members were all friendly.
Course was in really good condition considering time of year.
Some stunning views. Will definitely be going back to play again
Great course
The course is in fantastic shape. The weather was kind. The views were amazing. Love this course
A challenging course
First nine a bit of an Everest assault, back nine less so. Challenging throughout as built on the side of a hill. Some nice par 3's , plenty of water and well guarded greens. Several blind holes, one had marker post for drive, and a second marker post for second shot. We lost quite a few balls. Greens were superb.
You need to be fit for this course
Burnley GC
A friendly welcome and helpful advice from pro-shop.
Great value for money
Great course , every hole is challenging, love to play this in the summer, would definitely recommend
Decent course
Nice enough course but a few things let it down.
1. Not enough memorable holes- most are just average I’d say
2. Very hilly course. Most holes are uphill or sloped upwards. It’s a bit of a slog to be honest
3. Burnley GC must have the most blind shots of any course in the U.K. I’ve never seen anything like it. One par 5 had a blind tee shot and then a blind second shot.
4. Not a negative as such but lots of signs everywhere telling you what to do and what not to do. Burnley GC must hold the record for the sheer number of them. My favourite being ‘please wear spiked shoes- soft spikes not ideal’ or something- on the 9th tee!
I paid £17 which is good value despite the fact I wouldn’t play again due to the points above.
Tidy course
Really nice course. Played off winter tees but all greens where in really good condition. And although we've had plenty of rain this week the course was really dry.
I would definitely play again and would definitely recommend to others.
Great winter golf
Not sure what the review below is on about, all greens were in play, playing off winter tees / semi rough.
Course in good condition for the time of year / helps being up in the hills.
Clear day too so visibility / views were great.
Highly recommend.
