Course of two halves
Fell lucky with weather conditions, gorgeous day , greens not up to scratch but you could see work done to improve and of course the time of year and bad weather beforehand had not helped . Great track and especially the last 6-7 holes in our opinion
I played rubbish
The staff where great, they said they had put some drainage in and apologised for the inconvenience but it didn’t effect my game and the course was still playing lovely ( I wasn’t I was s..t lol ) but they still gave everyone playing that day a 2 for 1 voucher that can be used up until March 2022 . I believe this wasn’t required but speak volumes to kindness of this place.
Loved it and will be going again regardless of the voucher
Fantastic course
Course was a tough test, played off the competition tee’s and the course really showed it’s teeth. Definitely play it again and more do the other course next time.
Very good condition
Great condition for winter golf.
Easy to book
Nice long course
Beautiful holes
Well kept greens
Back nine x 2
Playing in December is always a gamble. Weather mixed but fine for the most part but course understand able soft on the fairways. Was phoned on the day to inform that front nine closed but could play back nine twice. Greens were good but some fairways were really bad esp on our second nine. One or two holes practically unplayable in reality. Still had a good time though and the half way pastie was delicious!
Well thought out and a beautiful back nine
Was playing as a one ball but had been placed with another three ball. Had a nice chat with the starter offered the chance to play back nine first so I could play alone. Massively appreciated it as played 18 in 3hrs30. Top man.
Front nine is nice, challenging bunker positions, wide and long fairways. Back nine is beautiful, really special woodland course. Have to think each shot carefully but not too difficult for a high handicapper.
Greens were in great condition, bunkers struggling with the amount of rain which is understandable. Didn’t use a golf cart but will consider it next time. Cart path well layed out.
Quality Course
Good course with a wide variety of different holes both up and down hill. The price is worth it for the 18th tee alone. It is a proper Golf Course and therefore costs a little bit more but is definitely worth it and I will return.
Best condition
This is the best condition I have seen the Cheshire course in, play it now while you have a chance to enjoy it
Outstanding for this time of year.
Not normally one to write reviews but we played the Cheshire course at Carden today and I must say it was in tremendous condition considering the weather we have had. A couple of places slightly boggy but overall it was brilliant. Tee boxes were perfect and greens, although very firm early morning, thawed out well and were in good condition. Highly recommend playing this beautiful course.
Great layout for a Course
We chose to play the Cheshire course because we have are company's golf society staying over for a few days at Carden Park in 3 weeks time.
Course was a bit wet only to be expected for this time of year, But I have to say that the greens were poor, I'm a member not to far away from Carden and the greens at my club are at least 10 times better.
I've played both courses in the past at Carden Park and the greens have been fantastic, I just hope they are a lot better in 3 weeks time when are society visit's Carden for our over night stay.
One of the best
For the price we paid, this was the best course we have ever played on. Absolutely stunning views and a pleasure to play on.
Perfectly kept course. Challenging at times but non the less it was a brilliant day. Can’t recommend it enough. Signing up for a membership in the near future.
The course is in excellent conditions for the time of year. It was like millionaires golf. Course very quiet.
Pro shop and bar staff were very helpful
Scenic and enjoyable course
Course in great condition, greens moderately fast but true. Fairways firm with good grass condition., Well designed course, challenging but not intimidating. The course was great, the staff welcoming and friendly, the bar very, very expensive.
The whole course was well maintained
Over the years we have played this course many times and never get bored. We enjoy going down to
the hotel after the round
Course was very good in terms of maintenance & layout.
When arrived we were double booked & they tried to fob us off with a bacon roll to play the other (very wet course). Only after insisting were we found a tee time on the Cheshire Course.
Birthday Golf
Great course, no complaints about the golf. But was watching football in the clubhouse and had my car was smashed into and both sets of clubs nicked. Staff said no security cameras on the car park... bit of a downer on a good day, really.
Ridiculous amount of time
I recently played the Cheshire course and I'm still alarmed that it took 5 3/4 hours for a two ball in a buggy. The pace of play was atrocious and not managed well at all. Also the greens were badly damaged from unrepaired pitch marks and most bunkers were unraked. On two occasions I ended up in someone's size 10 footprint in a green side bunker.
I have played this course before but it looks quite neglected and I was shocked at the state of the greens.
I understand that courses need to make money etc but when large society's are playing the course marshals should maintain the pace of play.
