What a test of fitness & golf
3rd time playing this year - most difficult because of the wind & rain!
Great check in with a very friendly Rachel, then off to the 1st- facing the wind & so it began. The course is very much up and down literally- hills that is.
There are many hills and upon playing for the first time these are daunting- you see your ball down or fly across the valley of the particular hill/hole that you are on! It deceives your eyes, 360 yards to the green looks more like 560!
Once you make it onto the green you find it either slopes up and down or sideways or all of these- talk about challenging.
The fairways are quite forgiving which is good given the tendency for the wind to blow your ball!- even if you do a good shot.
All the ponds and ditches were dry when we played the last 2 games- (July & Sept), which is due to the recent drought.
All fairways, greens and bunkers were in excellent condition as always- we will be back!
Great track
Great course in a beautiful location easy to navigate but definitely a buggy course as it’s a very undulating track
Great course
Lovely course, popped down for a twilight round. Millionaires golf, course all to myself! Lovely track, fair test. Greens had just been raked, fair enough for this time of year. Thoroughly enjoyable. Scenary, birds on the cliff sounded great, lighthouse lit up just as I played the 17th (badly!). Beautiful course.
Another great day at Flamborough GC
Called in for breakfast in the clubhouse and it was delicious, staff were very friendly and accommodating. Course was in excellent condition and the weather was great. Will be back for sure.
Always a pleasure
Love this course, good mixture of strong par 4s and risk/reward holes. Stunning views and scenery.
Always a warm welcome from friendly staff.
Perfect
We’ve been looking forward to playing this course for a while and we weren’t disappointed, it was a perfect warm breezy day to tackle this links course and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience from the bacon butties to the undulating greens and tricky green side bunkers
Windy round of golf
The course is situated on the top of the East Coast Cliffs.
Staff booking us on were hard work. The members we met on the course were great fun.
The wind made it even more difficult, we were told that it was a breeze compared to what it can be LOL.
Fairways and green were in great condition. would play again.
Yorkshire Tour
Awesome course with delightful views over Flanborough Headland. Would definitely play again and recommend to friends. The greens were in great condition, and the wind made it a testing course. We really enjoyed playing. All the best and see you again, Liam and Ian
Disappointed
The course was very clever in the way it was set out, and it kept your interest peaked.
However. I thought the fairways were bumpy at best, but the really frustrating thing was the long grass. There are parts of the course that had no rough, it just went to long grass, which may as well be out of bounds. As this is marketed to players of all abilities this is frustrating, because as soon as it goes in there you are not getting your ball back, and that’s expensive.
Long grass a good way from the fairway is fair enough, but this was completely unnecessary. Cut the grass, mark it as out of bounds and at least you can keep your balls.
This course could be brilliant with a bit more thought for the beginner golfer, because it is most certainly not suitable for them at the current state.
Good greens though.
Great links course
From first tee to last green you will enjoy this course. Views are amazing all round
