Course with a stunning view, greens not bad either!

Although a short course, you need to be straight to score well here.
The view on the holes by Leeds Castle are spectacular. Considering we played in the middle of December the greens were in excellent condition, the ball rolling true. The only downside is the incredible amount of worm casts, making it cloying on the shoes.
Overall highly recommended.

Poor course etiquette

Booked 18 holes but only ended up playing a very slow 9 before encountering some very poor etiquette and going home! As I was playing the ninth I could see someone waiting on the first tee. He was still standing there, chatting on his phone, when I started waiting my turn. He showed no sign of being about to tee off, in fact he hadn't even got a club etc ready! He blatantly ignored me, turning away and still talking on his phone until his friend came rushing up, obviously running late. They both continued to blatantly ignore me as it became obvious that player one had been literally standing on the tee, waiting for ages for his friend to arrive and tee off first!

Superb castle views

Loved the course, was expecting it to be flatter but should have done my homework. Challenging in places need to think your way round some holes. Great views over Leeds Castle from a couple of the holes.

Setting couldn’t be better

Small course in that it’s a 2x9 with no par 5s, but it’s tricky finding a course with a Tudor castle and moat in the middle of it!

I was expecting the beauty, but thought assumed it would be a relatively poorly kept course- I was wrong. Height of the summer in a bit of a drought and there was now browning at all on any greens tee boxes or rough. the fairway was also in good condition.

Pace of play was the only issue, I’ve not seen queues to tee off at a course before, but that might’ve been caused by a four ball who didn’t seem to be letting anyone through and a 2x9 is always going to be more busy. 5/6 cross each other as well which causes a pinch point.

It’s absolutely beautiful though so absolutely worth a visit!

Challenging mix of holes

Suits if short or long off the tee but will swallow up golf balls if you are wayward. Brian in the clubhouse was very helpful and welcoming.

Slow going

Pros:
1. Good value for money - we paid £20 for 18 holes courtesy of a Hot Deal on GolfNow.
2. Friendly staff.
Cons:
1. Very slow play! It was a Friday afternoon in dry, hot weather, the course was full and we waited on virtually every shot. After our first 9 holes, we had to go back to the pro shop so that we could be slotted in for our second 9 holes.
2. Although there are two holes with a very nice view of Leeds Castle, there are several holes with blind tee shots and where you have to wait for the people in front of you to ring a bell before you can tee off. If they forget or ignore to ring the bell, it gets very frustrating. If like me, you have a serious dislike of holes with blind tee shots, this course won't be for you.
3. Although you can buy drinks in the pro shop, the course lacks a bar/restaurant. There is a pub across the road from the parking lot though.

Upsidde. Challenging 9 hole course. with one of the most beautiful holes I've ever played.

Sandy Greens

Course was generally in very good condition. Only one hole made into a par 3 as presume part of hole too boggy.
Greens not great and full of sand which made putting even more difficult than I make it myself! Haha.

I only paid £20 for 18 holes though so still worth it at that price. Had an enjoyable round and would return.

One of the most picturesque courses in Kent

I was introduced to this course by a friend and fell in love straight away. Playing around the castle is beautiful. It is a mainly tight course with onlh 2 hole where it opens up for a driver. I think if it could be adapted to have one par 5 then it would be brilliant. You can play it without touching your driver if you are unsure with a driver like me. I am contemplating joining and playing regularly because it forces you to be a straight shot.

First not last

First time playing the course. Very surprised at the range of holes and difficulty level. Beautiful surroundings, greens perfect. One of the best 9 hole courses I’ve played so we did it twice.

Needs Some Minor Improvements

The entrance to the course and shop looked liked the plants were dieing and needed some attention, considering the surrounding area Leeds Castle. The area around the por-shop again all the plants in the post appeared to be dieing. First impressions count, and this area needs to have some tlc spent on it.

The course is set in the beautiful grounds of Leeds Castle. The first Tee, you have to wait to hear the bell being clanged before you can tee off. I am not sure if they were participating in No Mow May, but the fairways, the rough could have done with mowing. The course it a bit up and down, but once you are on the 5th tee and you see the stunning Leeds Castle, then you forget about all the little things that have niggle you.

We played 18 h9les, you did feel that you had a good workout, but I would play this course again.
