Poor experience

Played here for the first time and very disappointed with facilities and course.
Course does not flow and no directional arrows on where to go next. Very poor conditions, poor tee beds, poor fairways, poor greens.
No information on distance from tee to green, and the par 3 holes are so short, I’m a poor golfer and I overshot with a lob wedge on one of the holes.
There’s a driving range on site but the nets are in a terrible state so there are range balls all over the place.
Wont be visiting again I’m afraid

First Time Playing

Excellent for a beginner or casual play

I have just begun paying and needed a location to practice away from the range. This was a recommendation by a number of scratch golfers from Hertfordshire who all said this was the place were they got started and I couldn’t agree more. The entire course is wide open, well kept and easy to navigate and allows a new player, casual player or someone seeking a quick round the chance to get outside and play without stress. I’m improving each time I visit and the openness of the course and ability to focus on practicing the basics instead of hazards has done wonders for my confidence. Definitely a stepping stone in any new golfers development but for sure a place you can gladly return to.

Mind the bunkers!

Because of the vast amount of stones!! Took a hefty chip out of one of my wedges with a hidden one. Very annoying!

Once upon a time this used to be quite a nice little 9 hole for beginners, but I have to say standards have dropped a long way. It's open and relatively easy to play, but the greens are a bit of a state and as I've mentioned the bunkers are full of stones...

Fairways are in decent condition, but the tee boxes are a shambles, almost as long as the rough in places.

A real shame to see it slide so much.
