Nice enough but not worth the money
Average course, wouldn’t say is worth the green fee.
The course was in brilliant condition, it was an absolute pleasure to go round. The attention to detail was some of the best I’ve played all year, and the setting was detailed and varied. The only issue I had was on checking in. I wasn’t made to feel welcomed, the golf pro had sent a 4 ball of members out on my tee time, and I was almost made to feel that I was been fitted in. I had to rush my tee shot to play through the members, despite being there bang on my tee time. I completely understand that being a members club, there is attention to tee times, but if you offer tee times on golf now, those people also need to be treated well, as I paid a decent amount of money to play.
West
I played the course with my son in law who plays off four. And I play off seventeen. He managed to go around the course in 2 over. And I went round in 12 over. The course was very muddy and soggy under foot with two temporary greens. It’s not somewhere I would chose to play again in the winter. But would definitely return in the summer months. And would look forward to it. I really enjoyed the course layout. The staff in the pro shop were 1st class as were the club house staff members. Also every member we spoke to made us feel very welcome. Like I said. Definitely coming back in the summer months.
Course very well maintained. Great pace (3h 50 min in a bank holiday morning).
