Wonderfully pleased to see positive change.
The management has begun to focus on the aspects of the golf course which give players pleasure and delight when playing.
Greens care/water and pace, pin placements, mowed fringes and fairways, bunkers with sand as well as being maintained, aesthetics of overall appearance with blown and mowed adjacent areas, weed control and daily attention to all, with appropriate staffing, equipment and maintenance resources.
The Tee boxes remain in need of restoration and overhanging limbs which hinder drives and approaches remain neglected.
Pace of play must be monitored. So many golfers lack understand if established golf rules of etiquette, courtesy and consideration. It slows play tremendously and causes needless frustration. Marshals must be attentive to the intentional disregard and indirect causes of slow pace of play. It won’t hurt feelings to ask and encourage!
Progress continues/resources display the truth
Greens lack uniform grass/ you must roll for putting to have any chance
If you move the tee box tee marks, ; relocation must have consideration for level stance; otherwise it lacks understanding of the golfer options to take an appropriate stance.
Tree pruning on #9,. #11, #12, & #15 are critical for fairness of shot choice alternatives
Is this a simple lack of adequate resources and supporting labor.
There is a lack of lack of effective marshals protocols to monitor, engage, educate and encourage recognition of etiquette , related to pace of play.
Really beautiful course
I love the layout of this course and it’s beautiful, especially the back 9 holes.
Change is slow, however noticeable!
Improved placement of flag/cup placements on greens improves every hole experience and enjoyment.
Adding water to the greens is a fundamental requirement .
Rolling and mowing the greens really reduces the negative impact of not having uniform putting surfaces.
I
improved quality of bunker care and sand in them matters.
Having sufficient labor to manage the daily requirements is critically important, as having the right operative machinery to do the needed maintenance
The tee boxes are pathetic/ mowing does help.
Progress is obvious. The rate and sustained focus is what will make the difference.
Tee boxes need major work sand almost every tee box and greens need major work hardly any grass on greens and fairways are in bad shape lots of dirt and no grass .would recommend going to another course besides here
Poor greens
Greens are like concrete with no grass. Mostly sand and dried mud. Every green looks like the attached photos.
Work in progress
Tee boxes need work.
Course maintenance needs engagement, each morning
Marshals must enforce reducing gaps in pace of play
Good value
Nice course that really improves on the back nine. Pace of play was slow, but Ranger helped out early and I passed a slow threesome and joined a twosome. However, we were then stuck behind a very slow old twosome that never let us pass.
Greens were a bit hard and very fast. Small greens too so challenging short game. Layout was innovative but sometimes a bit easy to get lost. But the sand was in immaculate shape and most of the fairways were great for a muni as well. As my playing partner kept saying, "it's $29.50"... hard to beat on price and value.
The Staff is always friendly and helpful! The Pro Shop has some clothing items, but, no snacks or beverages. The course is clean. However, it is so dry! Is it ever watered, besides when it rains? The greens are cut really low and balls roll all over the place. Tee boxes are so dry, that it's difficult to get tees into the ground, on most holes. Carts needs to be replaced/upgraded. They are the old gas models and the fumes are really strong. Most of the seat cushions have cuts and gashes in them.
Enjoyable
First time. A few holes are really hilly, but fun to play.
Grass, overall, needs care. On the other hand, for the price I paid, the course offered value. I enjoyed playing here.
Bad Course Conditions
Greens were Horrible. And the fairway was horrible… I was literally hitting hard dirt on every fairway shot and the putting greens were awful . But I paid $16 on a deal so I felt I got what I paid for . Honestly the staff was friendly and course layout was decent. No real scenery but If the course was better taken car of this would be a Great place to golf
Great for getting back into the game
I think this course is at the perfect price point. I hadn't played in a couple of months and don't like paying a ton of money to go shoot 100+. This course was perfect. Challenging yet fair. I would play again
Just pay attention to all aspects of course maintenance and pace of play.
Spend resources for the tee boxes to be better than a Billygoat grazing area.
Blow the greens for the enjoyment of play
Encourage golfers etiquette play to the group in front of you or allow faster players through
Please !!!
If you like playing off dirt then you’ll love this place…The pace of play was insanely slow and the layout is very confusing you find yourself aiming at greens that aren’t yours because the course is so crossed it’s not even fun. I wouldn’t play here again if you paid me
Improving as a daily fee public course
Tee boxes grooming and level areas from which to hit are are awful.
Tree trimming to allow reasonable ball flight off the tee is critical …..
Tee boxes were mostly dirt.did not like the course layout.
