Diablo Creek Golf Course

First played this track during warm Summer. This second time was after 2 weeks of rain and unfortunately areas of the course didn’t drain well. As expected, it was "cart path" only and no big deal. Pace of play was decent for being a completely packed day. Because the course is relatively flat, some fairways had standing water or were very sloppy. Take note to (probably) walk this course if there has been recent heavy rains. You may have muddy shoes, but you'll have a more efficient round (not having to walk out to your ball and then make your way back to move your cart). Definitely would recommend to play this course. If you have a partner that plays from the red tee box... there are several holes that do not provide a lot of advantage. This track has enough challenge for experienced players but is straight up for ease of beginners.

Pace of play was a huge issue here on Saturday afternoon. Our round took five hours and we were waiting on almost every hole. Marshalls were nowhere to be found. This must be improved.

Bang for buck here at the Creek. Greens just punched so in a few weeks greens will be semi healed again. They have been good all year. Very healthy.
The course has wind and a long front nine, tighter tree lined back.. Some say boring —I beg to differ.
Each year looking around at scores, Every city championship has an under par champion except this one year in and year out, as even par is good.
Sea level golf at its best, no frills just golf.

I Made a hot deal tee time at Diablo Creek. I have played here for many years. I met a guy named Jose, we had a great time out there. We played in 3 1/2 hours. The greens are in fantastic shape.

Greens were incredible. Fairways were in very good condition. Rough had some dirt patches. Most of the carts need the seats replaced. Only complaint was having a fivesome in front of us. Just a suggestion to all courses ; pro shop should guide players which tees to play based on their skill level.

Conditions were fine, better than some, worst than a select few. Pace of play was okay.

We teed off at noon 5 hours and 20 minutes later we finished waited on every single shot

I have been playing here for the last 2 years several times per month. The only thing I dislike about this coarse is pace of play. There is rarely a Marshal out on the coarse. I even see groups of 5 going out. Diablo Creek has so many positive things about it. Just need to work on coarse management/pace of play.
