Best Course in the San Diego Area
I have been playing Enagic for several years at least once a week. Even back when it was called Eastlake Country Club. I have watched this course improve tremendously over the past couple years. Neil, the course manager, and his staff have worked to upgrade the course to the highest level in the area. The tee boxes, the fairways and the greens are perfect. The course layout is a little challenging with multiple elevation changes and hazards. The sand traps are freshly tended with new sand. The pace of play is good with a marshal making several passes each round to encourage the slower players. I recommend this course to anyone wanting to play on a truly professional course. In today's world the fees are very reasonable and the staff, including Nick, the club pro, are all friendly and helpful. The food at the cafe is excellent. Book a tee time and you will enjoy are round on a great course.
Enagic Just Keeps Getting Better!
I have been playing at Enagic (formerly known as Eastlake County Club) for several years, and the course just keeps getting better and better! They have obviously put a lot of effort (and money) into improving the course, and it really shows. Years ago the course was not in good shape, but now it is top notch. The tees and greens are near flawless, and the fairways are in excellent shape. It is a challenging course to play, and a very scenic course as well. My favorite course in San Diego!
Par Excellente
Awesome Experience. Greens today were 11.0 on Stimp and PERFECT. Understand why they host 2 PGA Tour qualifiers and US AM qualifiers. Good test of golf, if choose appropriate tees. New Golf Carts with ALL the bells and whistles. Great Pace of Play. Saw the Marshal and Bev Cart at least 4 times each. Fairways were plush carpets. Grille is not fancy, but food is excellent. My new course of choice. Could play here everyday. Signed, Wowed.
Great Time
Beautiful day. Pace was good until very end. A little pricey but beautiful grass cool layout.
Best course in South County
Great shape, pace, friendly staff, brand new carts and the cart girl passed by 4 times. If you can get a resident rate its well worth the money.
Rude ambassador
They book everyone so close we had to start 40 minutes after our scheduled tee time. We were approached by a staff member and we were told we were a hole behind however, when we reached the next hole, the group in front of us had just finished teeing off. I had never tried this course but it seems like a one and done due to staff and management.
Great value beautiful course
I’m a PGA professional and was thoroughly impressed with this golf course. Great amenities, friendly staff and a great course. Will play again soon!
not in good shape
The greens were good, but the fairways were spotty and the rough was brutal with tufts of grass in areas. At times, the rough was uneven and thick, and made for a tough find if your ball went in. The bunkers were dry pan. For the price, I expected better, and the club should be called out
Solid
Course is in good shape considering we don’t get rain. Resident price is money and cheaper than other courses. Never had slow play issues. Only issue we had is the starter yelling at us to tee off but our time wasn’t for 15 min and we were waiting on our fourth. The reviews about complaining about the rough being uneven and not cut. It’s the rough it’s not supposed to to be like a second fairway. The greens are always decent. Course is legit.
Not a prison
There was a kid in the bunker couldn't see from fair way. Very dangerous.
A woman and a kid were playing along the creek, waited 10 minutes till they cleared the fairway.
Tried to call club house a few times end up received an answering service from oversea.
A guy showed up a few holes later saying "......this is not a prison, neighbors are using like a park." Good for the neighbors, however, golfers are pay more than $100 risking to hit or delayed by people on the course.
A guy who was not pleasant turned up as the vice president of the course. He may be respected by employees but customer service was terrible.
Our cart was stopped in the middle of the course. No immediate service. We had to leave the cart on the course. Worse thing is they implied that that it's our fault the cart stopped.
Excellent playing conditions
The entire course is in great condition the fairways are lush and the greens roll true and fast. There is plenty of room to recover from errant shots but you have to take your medicine the rough as the name implies is tough. Overall I would recommend this course
So much improvement
We have been playing this course for years and you can really tell they are making it better and better. They even have new golf carts… love the club and ball washer attached to the carts
