San Clemente Municipal Golf Course

Anyone and I mean anyone that says the pace f play is OK here is out of their mind.
While this is a great course with a great staff, the pace of play stinks. Everything that makes this place a good course is destroyed by 20 hdcprs playing the blue tees and slowing play for everyone else. The marshalls are doing their best but they are outnumbered by the complete dolts that think they should be paying the back tees.

This is a great little course for beginners, intermediates and the seniors love it. And it's economical which is a big reason I play the course. It a great day to relax and have fun.

It s beautiful corse with cool ocean breeze, but rather difficult with big elevation changes. The greens are bit rough maybe from lack of maintenance during Covid-19. Overall its good local go to place with great value.

Played San Clemente for the first time at the end of November. It was in good condition though the greens were a bit frustrating because some were really fast while others were really slow. Don’t let it’s “Muni” status fool you. This is a pretty tough course and can be a real challenge.

For too long, there's been an association between municipal golf and mediocre golf. In many places, this is unfortunately the case...but not all of them. Luckily for residents of San Clemente, California, their home course has plenty of charm and interest, along with famously tricky kikuyu fairways and rough. A gradual upward thrust of the back nine leads to a wonderful big-reveal view of the Pacific from the 15th hole before a fun finish. It's the type of rhythm that makes you want to go around again.

Really relaxing course, pretty simple layout but lovely views. Greens in very good shape. Kikuyu courses always have great lies and is true here
Surprising variety on back 9 hilly holes. Not too long but still a little challenge from breezes and reading greens with ocean influence.

How is there only one review of this course when it is full of people every single day?

This is a great muni course. Fun layout with enough challenge for anyone, good conditions, amazing weather and ocean views. I am looking forward to retirement and coming here every day that my wife allows.

Had a really good time playing here. Course is very playable yet can be challenging with the wind off the coast. Has some ocean views and some great shade trees.
