Lincoln value not worth a penny
The Greens are in the worst condition possible. Major fungus and diseased grass on all green. 50% of the game is played on a putting green and the greens are just bad.
No bathrooms on the course after the 5th hole - just lots of players using the trees as bathrooms everywhere on the remaining 13 holes. The club house is in poor shape, the trip down the stairs to use the Men’s room is dangerous. There is even a sign warning people of the steps down.
I will not be returning to play at Lincoln Park Golf Course until a major renovation is done on the course and to its facilities. They have raised the price to play and rock bottomed the quality of the course. Disgraceful !
Rundown golf course desperately seeking makeover
I like the layout of the course overall!
It’s just shame that didn’t have proper management of the course. It is beautiful course that needs little more maintenance!!
No Carts!
We arrived on time to check in. The attendant said there are no carts available! What? He offered to charge $20 per push cart. I had a sore Achilles to start with, so we only lasted 9 holes. Horrible traffic to get there. I won't be playing that dated course again.
Poorly maintained
Course is run down and poorly maintained. Unfriendly staff that significantly up charged. The last few holes on the back 9 did have great views.
Flop
We had high hopes for Lincoln Park based on the location and steep price. When my foursome checked in during the late morning, they had no more carts available! What kind of golf course runs out of carts before 11:00 AM?! The greens were recently punched, so they were very bumpy and sandy. The fairways were in poor shape and hard to differentiate from the rough. This course has so much potential because of the location and views. It was quite disappointing.
Beautiful location, but a bit run down, great place to get away form hot weather
This is a very old muni course and it looks its age. Buildings all original. Amenities limited to indoor electronic simulator range, which was closed when I arrived at 12:30 pm and a putting green consisting of a putting surface, but no holes.
The greens on the course are full of unrepaired ball marks.
Nonetheless, I recommend the course because it's an interesting, albeit short layout in a beautiful area.
On the day I played, the temperature at the course was in the low 60's, and foggy, while the temperature at my home, some 20 miles away, was in the mid 90's, making this a great place to beat the heat and play some golf.
Best course in SF
From the friendly staff to the easiness getting on to play and the challenging but fun course, everyone should play here!
requesting GolfNow refund for June 20 2023 Lincoln Park GolfNow
Electric Golf Cart was not available for our 12:40pm reservation . Requesting refund.
Lincoln Park Golf June 20 2023
I am requesting a refund based on fact that electric golf carts were not available.
This place is going downhill fast
The staff is super rude, always suggests walking instead of riding if you look under 35. They have limited carts. There are flowers growing on the greens. Each putting green makes you feel like your putting on top of a globe. Holes are super close / on top of eachother. Theres 3 holes with great views but thats about it. The public will walk on the cart paths up and down holes.
Course is overpriced and in TERRIBLE condition, oh and they just raised the price :( Don't walk here you'll want to quit after 6.
The course was in great condition.
I have play at Lincoln Park Golf Course for the past few years and the course condition today (4/13/23) was in great shape (fairways are cut, greens are firm not wet and patchy), even after the rain storm we had recently in the bay area. I have played at three other golf courses recently (Poplar, Monarch, Franklin) around the bay area and they are not as good of a condition as the Lincoln Park Golf course. If you are young like me (60 years old) carry my own golf bag and walked the entire hilly golf course and got great workout. I was playing with another single golfer who was 69 years old (Mike, CEO) and he too carry his own golf bag and walked the entire time and he was there to witness I made an eagle on the 2nd hole par 4, 245 yards playing from the white tee box.
Thank you to the ground crew at Lincoln Park Golf course for keeping the course in great shape!
