The Club at Savannah Harbor

Much better course than I usually play. Only negative was the speed of the greens. Everything else was superb. Played in the afternoon and got a great deal on Golf Now. For 65 bucks on a course like this you can't go wrong.

I was able to play the resort course twice while visiting Savannah for the first time. First, the location was perfect. Directly across the river from the downtown historic district, the hotel was merely a few minutes from the many outstanding restaurants and bars that "haunt" this southern classic city. By far my favorite spot in Georgia. Uber or taxis worked well too.

Second, the course was right out in front of you. There was a great mix of long holes (eg. 599 Par 5 7th playing into the wind) and short (eg. the 14th at 292.) The par 3's are all good, but not horribly difficult. The fairways were wide and in good shape---not much rough on the course.

And the greens....
...the green on 11 was huge. Then the green on 12 seemed even bigger. On 12 you could easily have a 50-60 yard putt. The only greens I recall being bigger are some of the double greens at St. Andrews. The greens are new and kind of grainy. Since I play primarily on bent greens, the greens eventually got in my head and though I started out putting well, by the end of the second round I was a mess. But that is on me--not the course. But because the greens were new, they didn't hold many shots. Unfortunately, the collars in front of the greens were soft so if you tried to bounce one on you often came up short---which often beat the alternative of being over the green.

To sum up, the course is well worth the time and money to play. The set up is perfect for a buddies trip or for couples, especially with the city being so nearby. I highly recommend if you get the chance to try it out!

I enjoyed everything about the course. The greens were slower than expected but I think it made the course more playable for me since it was my firdt time playing this course. I loved the conditions, the layout and the beautiful views. It felt like you eere miles asay from everything but you were just across the river from the heaart of the city. I didnt score well but thst gives me a reason to come back and play agan.

The course was in good condition and very playable.

The pace was a little slow because there was of group of six or more golfers two holes ahead slowing the pace of play down.

The ranger should have divided the group to allow for faster play; however, I enjoyed the course and the lay out.

For what is supposed to be an upper-tier course run by Troon Golf that has hosted Champions tour events in the past, it is in fair to poor shape. Fairway grass is thin, patches of crabgrass scattered about, grass on the greens is thin and inconsistent. Bunkers are poor with some having so little sand that concrete support beneath is exposed. Tee boxes are pretty beat up. They need to spend money and time on course conditions to bring it up to the level it deserves.

Course was in good shape, first time back since they revamped the greens. Greens were in good shape, a little on the slow side. One surprise (not a good one), hit into greenside bunker on #10 about 10" under the lip, hit out but thought I hit a good sized rock, turned out to be a layer of concrete just under the sand, it extends about a foot or so into the bunker. Experienced the same on #15. Lucky I didn't sustain an injury, they really should inform players of this.

The layout and the condition was excellent. The staff and the restaurant staff were fantastic!

Great shape with a lot of water but not much of in play. The holes that are hard are very hard but there’s not that many of them. Fair test and great people and the off course amenities are unreal

Really good golf experience. All employees were very friendly. The course layout was very good with very nice views. Overall course conditions were very good although the greens were a little bumpy and on the slow side. We had a very enjoyable day.

Everything about this place is special. Massive greens so make sure you have your pace locked in!

Played mid-afternoon not crowded so pace of play was good. Course was in good condition but a little worn around the edges. Fairway Length and greens were challenging and enjoyable. We would play it again. Only down side - the morning pro shop staff was not very welcoming.

The course is in the best shape I've it's been in for the last 18 months I've been playing it. It's evident the employees, managers and new owners are taking pride in the experience they offer. People are paying attention to the details and the user experience. It starts in the pro shop continues with the starter , the range experience and most importantly the course. Raked bunkers, groomed waste areas, good tee boxes , beverages and greens. All great.

However I was confused and then disappointed o see a shipping container turned on end in the middle of the driving range.. What? May have seemed like a creative idea, but send it back to the Savannah Harbor where it belongs. Admit you tried something and it didn't work out. Wish I took a picture. Eye sore.

Course was in very good shape! Challenging but not overbearing. New greens were just installed this year — very firm despite heavy rain the day before — so it was incredibly hard to hold an approach shot. Because of rain the greens were just a tad shaggy, only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars on

Greens are bumpy , grainy and a bit slow. Some tees are a little thin. But the rest of the course was in very good shape! I definitely enjoyed the course and will go back again!

Tees and fairways good greens not real good a little disappointing given they were redone.

Mid morning and greens slow and bumpy ruined the experience. Minimal traffic on the course, so clearly untouched maintenance from day before. Not what I would expect for the cost. Pay rack rate for this course and you would be more than disappointed.

I started my experience by messing up the tee time. The pro shop staff made adjustments and had us golfing without a hitch. The entire team was helpful and courteous. Oh yeah, and the course was in great shape and we enjoyed the whole experience.
