Wheeler Family Traditions Golf Club (formerly known as The Tradition Golf Club at Wallingford) is one of the most affordable rounds in the area and it has received praise as one of the best golf courses in Connecticut. The par-70 layout is player friendly enough for beginners but low handicappers will also find it to be a fun round. The holes are fairly straightforward though there are some fairways that have very narrow landing areas that will test the accuracy of even the best golfers. Numerous bunkers are strategically placed along the undulating greens and water also comes into play on the occasional hole. The golf course starts out gently but becomes progressively more challenging on the back nine. The most memorable hole on the golf course, the par-3 12th, is a water hole that features an intimidating island green.

Nice day on the course
Staff is excellent. Golf Now has a nasty marketing game. We go out as a foursome. If 2 of us book on a hit deal then the next 2 see a $15-20 increase for the same time and location. That is not very good. Has caused us to not book on GN twice.

Tradition experience was super. The software for Golf Now is riddled with errors. Difficult to book and can not use gift discounts.
Great value
Potential to be a beautiful course. Pretty open so course is forgiving. Challenging course due to windy most of time. Only gripe is cart paths are horrible and in need of major upkeep.

If they keep hot deals thru Golf Now our group of 10 will make it a weekly trip. Very friendly staff and very good condition of course

Everything was good!
No problems! I think the tee box divots could be filled in a little bit more but that’s about it.
Wet and aerated but good.
Glad to be out on one of the first good days in April. Weather was mid 60’s and sunny.
