East at White Pines Golf Course

About
White Pines Golf Club is ideally situated for both locals and visitors with a convenient location that is just 30 minutes from downtown Chicago and only 10 minutes from O'Hare International Airport. The club has two 18-hole courses, the East and the West. The East is the shorter and more player friendly of the two at 6,371 yards from the back tees. The fairways are seemingly narrow but there is some room for recovery if you have an errant shot. There aren't as many bunkers or water as on the West Course, but there is enough to provide a fun round. In addition to 36 holes of golf, White Pines G.C. also offers the Golf Dome, one of the world's largest indoor golf facilities. It features five target greens surrounded by bunkers, 50 hitting tees on two levels, and six suspended hitting targets for practicing your accuracy.

Course needs attention
This used to be a favorite course. While the greens were great the rest of the course is beat up and in desperate need of repair. Many parts were soggy or flooded. The cart paths are falling apart with massive potholes everywhere. It was cart path only so the ride was bumpy to say the least. It's a shame because it's normally a fun course.
Cart Paths
Course was fine but the cart paths were a disaster. Not just a few spots here and there... throughout the entire east course, the paths were completely pitted and busted up. Normally that wouldn't bother us but it happened to be "cart path only" that day
Good condition golf course
Well maintained if you don’t care how cart path looks.
Nice layout with greens in nice shape, greens are a bit uninteresting and then wake you up with a surprise break here and there. Also would say a good value.
Good for opening in March
White Pines is one of a handful of courses that opened for the few days of unusually warm weather in March. Not surprisingly, most of it was very soft, resulting in mud on the ball and club. The greens were in better shape than expected. It was just fun to get out.
Typical condition for this time of year no tee off markers in box
Bomb craters
First week of good weather. Course was wet so cart path only which are in terrible shape. Other than that the course was pretty good shape.
Glad they opened
Considering the time of year. The course was in good condition. Cart path only as we are still in winter and ground is soft. We appreciate that it was open and the flags were in and greens were puttable. .
Wet course
It rained heavily the day before. Guess what, a lot of water on the course and cart path only. First time, I've played the West course. In early April, is easier to see the routing of both the East and West courses. Paid 20 on GolfNow.
Greens in good shape
Greens well maintained, some tee boxes under repair, some cart paths on East course need some attention, staff friendly and accommodating, will return to play here several times this spring & summer. Have not played West course yet.
Cart paths
The course was in very good shape. The cart paths are a different story, it was like driving through a war zone.
Excellent course
Received players kindly although the course was rough and covered with leaves. We liked playing the course.
