Butternut Creek Golf Course

About
Mountain views can be found on all 18 holes at Butternut Creek Golf Course, located in north Georgia. Elevation changes, mounds and undulating greens are all part of the challenge on the Bill Watts-designed golf course. No two holes are alike and water comes into play on 13 holes. With four to six tee boxes on every hole, the golf course can play as short or as long as you like. Butternut Creek is owned and operated by the Union County Recreation Department.

Another great round.
Weather was perfect. Greens are fantastic. Pace got a little slow on the back. Great round.
Being from Florida it was a challenge! Great elevations and beautiful back drops from every tee box. Fairway grass had already died off and made it a little challenging to find any color ball but was still an awesome experience. Would like to try again in early to late spring.
Very nice course but weather was 30* night before so everyone started late. Challenging fir a golfer that just started playing 4 years ago with a 25 h/c Staff very nice and beautiful clubhouse. Course was in great shape. Would love to play again.
Short course but not an easy course
Greens were in great condition. One of the better courses in far North Georgia. Fairly short but a lot of up and down with blind shots.
Is this Heaven, No but it’s close.
Got a deal for 18 with a cart for $25 teed off at 10:00 on a Sunday.was Not crowded,Cart path only.
was a little difficult and taxing on the legs. But what a piece of property. Just a carpet of great grass everywhere. Green’s just perfect. Shoutout to the landscaping crew top notch work.
Nice Experience
This course is definitely a challenge but very playable by all levels of golfers. I found no issues with the holes that 1 played, 1 through 9. Holes 10 through 18 were being maintained at the time of my round. The golf carts included coolers, ball and club head cleaners. I was greeted in the pro shop by a friendly and accommodating gentleman. My first 9 holes I was able to play very quickly but my second nine holes found me behind several very slow moving groups. So I cut short my round. However that did not detract from a very nice golfing experience at a very nice course. I would definitely play this course again and recommend it.
WET
WAS CART PATH ONLY! VERY DIFFICULT WALKING A MT. COURSE. WIFE AND I ARE 76 YEARS OLD WE HAVE PLAYED BUTTERNUT CREEK BEFORE VERY ENJOYABLE WITH A CART.
