Southern Hills Golf Club

Southern Hills is a wonderful golf course located outside Hawkinsville, GA. Always in great shape with moderately quick greens and nice fairways. A very nice layout and challenging with several risk reward type holes. I have played many golf course around northeast Florida, but was very pleased to find this course when I moved to Georgia. The more I played it, the more I liked and appreciated it.

We picked this course from some of the other reviews, and wow, what a great course. If I lived in the area, this would be my home course. We played 18, then replayed 18 more we liked it so well!

The staff was extremely friendly.

I don't get to play here as much as I'd like, but each time I have it's been great. Well maintained, challenging and fun.

Great course in excellent shape. Would highly recommend. Bring your own cooler and drinks. No cart during the week. No cooler on cart. Plenty of cold water stations.

course drained really well after the storm came thru last night. Staff is really friendly and accommodating. Overall had a good time.

This was the only course on golf now so I picked it because I was told about it by someone else. Course is in really good condition and seems to be well maintained. Pace of play was slow but luckily when we caught up to the people in front of us they let us pass. Great warmup and practice facility. Would highly recommend playing there.

Check in was easy and fast. I went out before a 4-some even though I could have played through if wanted. Course was in great shape and amenities were as needed (water, restrooms etc). Snack bar was adequately supplied and all staff were extremely helpful and considerate. Will definitely play this course again

This course, through Golfnow.com, offered a tee time 24 minutes after a 1:00 shotgun start of a tournament. I was completely unaware of this when reserving a tee time. When arriving 30 minutes prior I was told no carts were available accept for tournament play. Requested a rain check or refund. Was denied. Told to deal with Golfnow.com. Selected "Would recommend" because course is nice and I normally have had no issues but!! Left and went to Cochran, GA to play the "Woods". Always welcome there!!!

There is nothing to complain about this golf course at all, except for the 6 people that were playing together! This makes your round a lot longer along with waiting every shot! If it is going to be allowed to play 6 in a group, they should be made to allow people to play thru! The golf course itself, is the best around!

I played 3 rounds here in 2 days... the course was in awesome shape. Great course layout with challenging holes. Fairways were in great shape. Greens were fast , true and challenging. The staff is friendly and helpful.
I’d recommend this course to all my friends. I’ll definitely be back

COURSE IS WONDERFUL. LAYOUT DEMANDS ACCURACY TO SCORE WELL. BIG GREENS. NICE BAR AREA. HELP IS FRIENDLY. WILL PLAY AGAIN.

this is in my opinion the best coarse between south ATL and Valdosta. the problem is they have large group outings everyday. if you don't get out very early you cant get on, or it takes 4 0r 5 hours to play. groups of 30 or more, with one group has 5 in it with one walking the next has 3 in it. but to tell the truth it is getting that way at all golf courses in middle Georgia. these golf associations have taken over everywhere.
