A Place to Play
Grass is starting to come in. Unfortunately, the greens were not in the best shape. They had Poana growth which affects the path of the ball. They also had some sort of fungus. A lot of bare spots on the green. This was the worst I have ever seen them. They've always been in great shape. Hopefully, they come back by summer. I will continue to play there anyways because it's close to me and the staff is very friendly. I am even considering their three month membership offer.
Poa Anna grass effecting putts. Played last month the greens were good… what happened?
Range balls, cups and flag sticks need replacing. They are totally worn out . Roots and hard pan areas on course.
A beautiful, well balanced course
Everything was great except for no drinking water and the men's room was filthy.
Landing strip
Nice people but the course is below average. 5 hours is too long! They let a 6 some play in front of us. They did keep up with the slow play. Spend your money somewhere else. Not going back.
6 hour round
They tripped booked the tee times. 10:09, 10:10, 10:15. Slowest round and not worth the money.
Not a course I would recommend
Simply put there are better courses in the area the driving rage need lots of work. All Tee boxes are terrible. I paid for 18 but only played 9.
Nice course, unfortunately played behind a tournament
Great course. Friendly staff. My only wish was that someone had told me there was a school tournament same time as my tee time. I only got 12ish holes in, but overall nice course.
Awesome
My first time playing this course was great
Not good right now
Staff was not pleasant. Wide open morning and made it seem like it was an inconvenience for me to move to an earlier tee time to not be paired up. Tee boxes were awful, greens had bad dead spots, lake was drained, and fairways were a mix of dead hard dirt patches and marshy mud. Do not play here
Bought tee time from Tee Off for 2 golfers. when we got to course we were told Country Club of Gwinnett did not use Tee Off for their tee times. After some tense discussion th Off courseey did allow us to play but it was a bad start to our golf day. Is Country Club of Gwinnett a Tee Off course?
Dry Course
The course was extremely dry and hard, probably because they had drained the lake and may not have watered it in awhile. Unfortunately, the dryness really affected the greens, which rolled well and were in good condition unless you had a downhill putt. Almost every downhill putt rolled out 10+ feet beyond the hole, no matter how soft you rolled it. The recommendation is to set your play date the day after a good rainfall.
It’s been a while
I have to admit it’s been a number of years since I’ve played this course. It appears as though they are putting some money into the facilities and to the course itself. Only had a chance to play nine holes. Bunkers and traps typically tell the story of any public course and I have to say, that both were extremely well maintained and manicured. It shows where they’re taking this place.
