Course condition
I had no knowledge when I booked the round that they were aerating and sanding the greens
that day. The front 9 were totally closed so we had to play the back 9 twice. It would be good for then to let you know when they are doing this so we could decide if we wanted to play those conditions. Still had to pay the same price to you as if the course was in normal conditions. Didn't seem quite fare.
Fun but greens were frozen
We had a frost delay which was expected due to roughly 32 degree temperatures. However, one the frost delay was lifted the greens were still frozen for the entire 18 holes. I was getting 12 to 20 foot high bounces off of the greens! We played Banbury under the same conditions a couple days before and the greens were receptive. Maybe we got unlucky. It did provide an interesting challenge though.
Food
Super shocked that they have no food before noon. We came in early hoping to eat breakfast of some sort. No food at all. Very disappointed with Eagle Hills for that
Going early
So we had some friends in town. They said let’s go early and eat. Problem was they don’t serve food till afternoon. When we started all they had was microwaved hotdogs. Overall was a great day
Military Rate at Eagle Hills Gold Course
Thank you very much for granting me an online military discount to golf here. Very nice course, well kept and maintained.
I wish more golf courses in Idaho's Treasure Valley offered an online discount to military retirees. Thanks again and I sincerely appreciate it.
Nice course
Course was in excellent shape. Fairways pretty plush. Lot of trees but don’t penalize you unless you are way off target. Little expensive even booking through Golf Now. First time playing there but will definitely come back.
Good
Simple track, not too many difficulties. Greens were in good condition.
It would be a good course for beginners. Not too challenging for the avid golfer.
Solid, fun course
No complaints, fixing a bunch of bunkers but other than that nice course
Nice Ciurse forum the Cost
Course in good condition. Challenging ti jeep ball on some Fairways sibcrme short cuts vmcan be narrow. Vack 9 considerably easier than front 9m
Fun course, overpriced
Not sure when Eagle Hills got on the bandwagon of high prices, but more power to them. They got my money. I’ve always liked Eagle Hills (played for over 25 years here) but it’s tough, as a long time Idaho resident to see these fees going up and up. I know the Cali-ites and Seattle-ites don’t have issues with these costs but it’s a little frustrating. Otherwise, great staff, highly improved 19th hole, and the course was in pretty good shape. Carts are in great shape and modern.
Return round
I was in Boise for a few days and played Eagle Hills GC late Monday morning and was fortunate enough to book a second round Tuesday early morning which was a pleasure; the experience was great, and I would recommend this course to friends and fellow golfers looking for a course that you will use most, if not all clubs in your bag; the staff members were very friendly and accommodating, and the course was in great shape; I got out behind ateo groups that I was able to get through on the 10th hole, and I was able to finish another round very quickly; I will definitely look to play Eagle Hills GC while in the Boise area in the future!
