A must play in Rockford
Course has been a little firm in previous years this late but in excellent condition this year. A shorter course but offers a lot, 2 challenging but reachable par 5's, 2 drivable par 4's but a few more challenging par 4s and 2 very hard par 3s.

Terrible gas powered carts... course is good though
This is the first golf course I’ve seen that had motorized carts that used gas. Environmental concerns aside what really annoyed me was that you smell the fumes when you are driving and slowing down. I breathed in so many fumes that I will never ride here again. I’ll play the course, but I will walk it.
You must have had a bad cart, most courses I play have gas carts. I have it has ever been a problem.
Wet
No fault of course but we arrived and due to the rain we could not use a golf cart due to wet conditions. I would have liked to get Money back from golf now but it would have been a hassel so played but was buggy and a workout due to no cart's allowed.

My round at Ingersoll Golf Course
Course is very good shape..Greens are a good as any in town of Rockford Illinois.. Don't miss the trees that were taken down by storms or ash bugs.. Course looks better without em.. We have had alot of rain in the area so there were a few wet spots. Only draw back is alot of grass clippings in the ruffs.. Still a great muny!!
Challenging course
Staff have made subtle changes such as narrowed fairways, challenging pitches around greens and fast smooth pace on greens. Not the course of yesteryear.

Great course. Standing water in spots. Bunkers hard and washed out. Rest of course make up for it.

Absolutely perfect!!! Course was in outstanding shape, greens were smooth and fast and the Staff “Joe Capone” were as friendly as ever.
Another Fun, Inexpensive Round
Thank you Golfnow.com for another fun round at a great price!!! Ingersol is where I learned to play this wonderful game and always enjoy going back. I’m not going to lie, I love Ingersol. The course was in great shape considering the amount of rain we had this week and the staff are exceptional!
Great to be back home
I grew up playing Ingersol!!! Was great to come back and play my favorite golf course. Greens were in excellent condition and the staff(Georgie) were awesome. I consider this course sacred ground and was pleased to see it in such good condition after a brutal year of weather and heat.
Accommodating Staff.
The staff accommodated us through rather wet weather with friendly service. They were great.
Course too tight
Always looking out for balls coming from other holes
Gem on the West Side
Nice course....short but tight down the fairways....spend a lot of time in the trees....great staff......and the grill is great......love going there...
