Best I have seen it,
This course is a 2 hour drive so I have not played it frequently. I love the lay out and the relative lack of players on a weekday, Today however I was particularly pleased with the immaculate conditions. This is a great place which is apparently getting better. Kudos to the greenskeeper and his crew,
Midland Golf Club…Always Worth the Drive
Midland Golf Club has become one of my favorite places to play golf. The course is maintained well and the bang for the buck makes the hour plus drive to get there worth every.minute.
Delightful
Played as a single at noon on a Saturday, and didn't come upon another group until hole 16. Greens were in good shape. Course sits on a rolling piece of land, and has a good variety of holes. Some small greens, some large. Most holes are tree-lined. From the back tees you have to be able to work it both ways off several holes. A pleasing test of golf, not too hard, but hard enough. Watch out for holes 10 and 11, pretty tricky. Probably want to hit less than driver on those two.
Hidden gem
Great course! The only downside is your way to your next tee is very confusing in a lot of instances. Beautiful course… well maintained.
Great Layout. Wide variety of Looks
Played here on a group golfer with my brother. Course was in good shape except for a couple of wet spots. Not much rollout because of recent rains.. After going through a group on 2 we played 18 in 2 1/2 hours. Every hole is different and no throw away holes. Great place.
Kewanee Dunes (Soon to be Midland)
Very nice course. It seems they are really trying to keep it cut and well groomed. Some interesting water holes and some tight fairways with many dog leg holes. enjoyed the course...definitely coming back! Stay on Golf Now!! It helps with the drive time!
Midland Golf Club Is worth always worth the drive!
I love this oasis in the middle of farm country. It’s always worth the drive and the staff are always friendly and welcoming!
Great Staff and a great deal
This is a fun course and challenges golfers from all skill levels Staff is extremely friendly and helpful would recommend to everyone
Great Course!
Great course and beautiful weather made for multiple people taking advantage of 4PM Twilight rates ($25), when we were ready to tee off 12-16 guys were at the 1st tee as a league or group of friends. Upon getting permission in the club house, we were able to go off 10, and had no problems with pace or meeting other groups until our last hole. Highly recommend.
Awesome golf course!!
This is one beautiful golf course, I think this is one of the best within 50 miles or more! Play this and you will be back,a lot of bang for your buck. I play a lot of courses and over 150 rounds a year.
Hidden Gem
Played at 1pm on a Wednesday and it was wide open. The mature trees that line most of the fairways are well maintained as is the entire course. The rough was cut low and easy to find my many wayward shots. Holes 11 and 12 are bordered by water and scoreable if your straight . The bunkers were well maintained with soft sand. Overall a wonderful hidden gem in north central Illinois.
The Dune's course is a good track !
While visiting Illinois I had the opportunity to play the course the reviews were favorable and they didn't lie. I enjoyed every hole and the rolling hills made the course a great lay out. The landing areas were generous, but you must keep your ball out of the tree lines. Trees a mature and will knock your ball down. The greens all ran true and were in good shape. ON my next trip to Illinois I will include another round or two at the Dune's
Great golf
Perfect day perfect golf. Course not busy and very enjoyable pace. It was like we had the course to ourselves. Great course-challenging and well maintained.
