Beautiful day golfing Lick Creek. We even got off 30 minutes early so an extra plus! Followed a Sunday morning outing an never had any hold ups. Course was in good condition, fun to play with some elevations and quite a few hilly holes. Be careful to stay in the fairway as lots of deep ravines off the rough. Greens were in decent shape too. Played in about 3 1/2 hours. Staff was super nice and helpful. Will definitely play again soon!
Great Course and worth the drive
We were looking for a course in the Peoria area to play golf and I happened across Lick Creek. Will definitely be playing here again in the future. Fairways were perfect, greens were in good shape and somewhat challenging.
Great!
Anyone who has played here understands how great this course is . I make it a point to play at least once a year here and everytime I am so grateful that we are lucky enough to play this gem of a golf course. G.K.
Lick Creek
Course was in fantastic shape. Greens were very receptive and well managed and maintained staff was friendly and went the extra mile to accommodate any of our needs. Pace of play was perfect as well as the weather. Would recommend playing this course to anybody whatever skill level.
I Love Lick
Lick Creek is my favorite course in central IL. This round was made even more memorable when I aced number 12, 118 yds with a 9 iron. It was the second hole in one of my life, the first coming 31 years ago. Shout out to the staff, who will coordinate the making of a plaque to commemorate my second best shot of a lifetime!
Always Love To Visit Lick Creek
I haven’t been in the area for golf in years, but I always enjoy playing at Lick Creek…maybe not very well, but it’s fun and definitely challenging.
Awesome course to play!
Only thing bad is the amount of bugs everywhere. Bring your bug spray! But in all awesome course
Lick Love
Always a challenge, always fun! Bunker rebuilds are outstanding!
A Lot of Love for Lick
All the bunkers are rebuilt and some eliminated. Well done! The greens are still a little bumpy from prior aeration, but still roll nice for this early in the season. Looking forward to many more rounds in 2024 at my favorite central IL course.
What a challenge
Found this gem in GolfNow. Had a little time after a drive into town and made a tee time. Played 18 by myself in 2.5 hours. What a gem. This course is challenging!
Front nine is tight and drives are not for the weak! It was like hitting into a tunnel on some and around curves on others. Very cool layout. Bring some balls. Both kinds.
Greens were true and held well. On the downhill par 5 w a road at the bottom don’t hit 3 wood. Just sayin
Mid iron is the play! (:
