Best Deal in the Area!
Played in June 2020 on a weekend. It was $10 to walk 18 so a buddy and I decided to do it. It was very hot, but we really enjoyed the golf course. For $10 it is an absolute steal, and even with a cart it’s only $25-30 on weekends, which is still great.
The course itself is pretty short and tight, with small greens. It’s nestled along the St Joe river and you cross it a number of times. The conditions were very good. Greens weren’t super fast but were consistent and in great shape. Other than a couple holes with some standing water due to rain, the course was in great shape. Most of the holes require a good drive to score, and if you miscalculate distance on approach shots it’s better to be short than long.
This is a course that’s definitely worth playing. It was somewhat busy but moved along, and they had beverage service. They didn’t have any push carts, which would have been nice for walkers, but other than that there’s really no complaints.
Great time
This is a great course that has a lot of holes that are just fun to play. Teeing off over the river is an experience in itself.
Day with hubby
Lots of trees and leaves made for a fun day of golf. Course always fun and challenging.
Golg
We got rained out and could not finish because of the weather. Thunder and lightning.
Bridges and birdies
The course was in great shape except for a few holes on the river (river has been high all year). very much enjoyed the holes over the river. fairways are beautiful and the greens were awesome. will be back.
Wait until next season
Loved the course and will go back BUT not until next season. They had diseased greens this summer so there are 17 temporary greens cut out of the fairways as they re-seed the regular greens. You hit onto the temporary greens then there is a 2 putt rule in effect. Also, because of the greens the pro shop is running a fall special so we ended up paying about $5 more by booking online with GolfNow than if we would have just payed at the course.
Again, loved the old school, mature course and will go back AFTER they get the greens in order. At least no three putts!
Typically great course
One of my favorite courses to play. A lot of scenery and water in play. The last time I played though, the greens were dirt and the holes were in the fairway. Something they should have said entering the clubhouse or better yet before booking.
17 of 18 greens Are dead no grass
Something happened to their greens rest of the course is the same.
windy day
This course is great for the money. At least for us seniors. Although I road today, I often walk this course. Very walkable. I play the ball down and did not have a problem with that.
Good course
It's a good course , lots of water . Bring extra balls because when you hit over water, your hitting over a river.
Very Nice
The course overall was in great shape there was some standing water in some areas. There is some low areas that don't drain very good after a good rain. It rained the day before we played. If you stay in the fairway you are good. The third and fourth water had water off the left side of fairway. It wasn't a problem for me I never go left. The course is a very great course to play. Three holes you have to drive the ball over the St Joe River. It's a very pretty course. The 18th hole is a elevated tee looking over the St Joe River it takes a good drive to clear the river. You don't want to peek on this hole you will end up in the river. It's a great finishing hole.
Wait a Month
Course is under some repair work to fix the drainage issues they experience every year. This is by far my favorite municipal course...by June 1st, the course should be back to "normal".
New GPS golf carts need some tweaking but a great time as always.
9 holes open
It would have been nice to know upon booking that only 9 holes were open to play due to water on the course. Appreciated the starter offering mosquito spray before we played.
