Great course. Beautiful layout, and a very challenging back nine. Clubhouse staff was very friendly. Will play again soon!
Nice rural course good value
Nice rural course
Pretty good shape I’d say it’s an above average rural IA course... pretty good value, nice clubhouse....
When we made turn back 9 was stacked up so we played front 9! Twice (only disappointment)
Great!!
I love the course!! So much better than it was 20 years ago. I could not be happier with the course and with out a doubt the exceptional staff!!
Awesome
This is a very challenging course. The staff, really take care of you. We had a beer with the mgr. and Super. Two wonderful and outgoing people.
Great time to play
Late season rate $15 w/ cart. 18 hole course west of Grinnell. Rolling hills with several blind tee shots and a few blip greens,. Small greens that roll true. 4 set of tees, #16 green is most unique- wavwy from side to side want to be in right section of waves or you will have mini-golf putt. #17 don't be long. Good condition and would play again.
Club has 2 indoor golf simulators for off season or poor weather.
Great little course!
Rolling hills, great fairways and greens! Loved the course! Will be back for sure!
Worth the drive
Fun course. Enjoyed our round. Nice small town course with friendly staff. It's located West of Grinnell so, coming from Des Moines it's less than an hour drive.
Great value
Value wise, this was top notch. Friendly members made us feel welcome. Drinks reasonably priced. Tee boxes need some work but overall course was in good shape. Will play again.
A NOTCH ABOVE OTHER IOWA SMALL TOWN COURSES
I played a lot of small town course. This one is a notch above. Not on pebble Beach level but better than the average Small town course.
Clubhouse is very impressive. Views are sweet.
My complaints are the greens are too slow for me. It plays back and forth a lot. And mostly on a couple holes someone thought it a good idea to plant a tree right in front of the tee box. On hole 9 you have maybe 8 feet to hit the ball through.
not sure its a destination location. But I would not be ashamed to play it every day. Its a fun course.
Wow!
A little buddy trip from Des Moines brought us to Grinnell, and am I glad it did. The course conditions looked great when we pulled in the parking lot, and when we started playing we were not disappointed. Big elevation changes and rolling hill fairways in great condition for early spring. A few multi-tier greens will test your putting as well as you short iron game. We had noone around us the whole time. Beautiful course and a great atmosphere. Thanks for having us at your course, we will be booking again soon
Oakland Acres
Enjoyed the round, first time playing. Great price and very well kept course. Many updates to course and awsome new clubhouse.
Challengeing and not to long, enjoyed the rolling hills and nice greens.
Oakland Acres
A good time. Will be back.
Nice course, nice value
Enjoyed the round. Great value and not too long. Average golfer will enjoy the rolling hills and nice greens.
Great Course
It was a great course but it was in the middle of nowhere. Take advantage of the Hot Deals or else you'll be in for a hefty game.
Challenging layout with long rolling hills
I last played this course more than twenty years ago and was amazed how the trees have matured. It has many hills to challenge most any level golfer. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The new club house is beautiful. I will play it again soon.
Great value
Tough course and great for the price. Small hard to hold green takes some carful play to hold them.
Fairways generally in good shape, greens all very well kept.
Would recommend any one to play.
A few tricky holes put generally most are in front of you.
Great clubhouse and bar all in one very functional building.
Great course great time
great!!!!!! My friends and I really enjoyed the course!!!
Will make annual trip
We have had lots of rain lately and the course was def wet, however it was very playable, the course was well maintained and the staff couldn't have been any nicer. Probably the best clubhouse staff I have encountered. They just finsihed a tournament that day so the clubhouse was pack and the atmosphere was really lively. All the customers were in a good mood the music was playing loud and it wasn't what I expected from a golf clubhouse. It was a really good vibe in there. I will have to return to play again. The 9th hole par 3 is a beast! I was by myself so I didn't stay for any food although it did smell and look very good, really wish I ate there!
This course has a large variety of holes.
This was the first time I had played this course in several years and it was as difficult as I remembered. We played a day after a torrential rainfall closed the course for a day, so conditions were not as good as they could have been simply because of the wetness of the course. Some cart paths have been removed and are waiting to be replaced but the weather has not allowed it leaving for some rugged driving. Certainly worth the time and effort to play this course as you will have the opportunity to use every club in your bag. Employees were helpful and quite friendly.
