Disappointing
What use to be one one the premier courses in Kentucky is in disappointing condition.
Fairways were average at best and greens were slow and bumpy.
slow play;slow greens; otherwise, great...
5 some in front; slowed play; no offer to play through...slow, slow rough greens...exquisite layout...
Serious test of golf
Played the back tees, cool & breezy day. Disappointed when I got to 1 green & found them verti-cut and pretty slow. Fairways are fairly narrow & trouble lurking on just about every hole. Need to be straight as a string off the tee & deadly accurate into greens. Giant undulations places a premium on being in the right quadrants to avoid 3 jacking. Course will yield some birdies, but pars are just as rewarding. Def a track you have to play over & over before you can actually score well. I'll be back next spring to take you down PR!
Great and Challenging Course
Course makes you use every club in your bag. Very tough greens and tight fairways.

This course is amazing.. it was in recovery mode for this round, but it's still better than the average course. I played it in high school and college, and would love to see it open up for good, at least select tee times. The bunkers were the best I've seen this year other than caledonia in myrtle Beach.
Persimmon delivers
For a Fall day the course was free of leaves which always hampers finding your golf balls. We had to play cart path only which extended the time. We had a slow foursome playing in front of our pair which was poor manners.
Super course
Course is in great shape and is very challenging. Every hole is scenic and fun. The greens are all tiered, and no straight putts. Well worth the money, friendly staff. Looking forward to playing it again - bogey golfer
unbelievable
This course is beautiful. Need better hole directions, visible yardage markers and staff could be a little friendlier. Pace of play was slow. Outside of those things the course is awesome and I would definitely recommend and would play again.

Conditions are good now
This might be the hardest course I have played. It's much harder than tpc sawgrass. Conditions on this visit were probably the best I've seen in years, and better than earlier in the summer. The fairways were firming up and you were getting some extra distance as a result. Greens were medium speed, and were a little firmer than in the past. I always thought they kept the greens too wet in the past. This course will beat you up, but playing firm and fast made it more enjoyable. Take advantage while these conditions last.

This course is a must play if you can get a deal. It is one of the most expenssive courses in the area to play $90 - but if you find a deal you can play for $60.
The course offers a great, challanging layout that will test your long irons for sure. The greens are always in great shape and the roll very smooth.
You will not be dissapointed with this one.

Very Nice Course. We WILL be back ! Don was extremely helpful & friendly. Country Club type course. I am surprised it isn't totally private.

Pro shop staff was rude. Not once, but both times in which I played the course...so it was not a fluke.
Great course for the golf enthusiast. One of the best tracks in Kentucky...or the region.
Driving range was good. Bent grass tee area. The balls were old, but its just a range and none of the shots count until you tee it up on the 1st hole anyway.
USGA...you need to host a US Open here...seriously.

Truly a great day of golf, from the uniqueness of many holes to the course condition. A top rate club. The staff was friendly and helpful. I recommend this one to all!
Outstanding course layout!
Very challenging greens with lots of undulating bumps. If you manage not to three putt, you are very skilled or lucky. A hot and humid day with heat indices over 100. They could use more water and cooling areas.
Nice course, but not sure why the hype??
Overall this was a nice course. Not too hard to hit the fairways and the greens where undulating and fun. Course was in good shape. Some rough spots on fairways(normal for this area, this year) and the greens were a little trampled from the people that played earlier than me.
This course has a lot of hype in the area, but I'm not sure why. Decent course for a decent price but not incredible as I had been told. I'd go back.
