Must Play In Berkshires
9 Terrific Wayne Stiles holes and 9 newer holes. Love the greens on the original holes. Great layout, great views, One of my favorites in the Berkshires.
Wahconah Country Club Is DELIGHTFUL!
My son and I played a round of golf today, Thursday, 19 August 2021, at Wahconah Country Club in Dalton, Massachusetts! What can I say? It was quite perfect. With a morning full of showers, I was worried that the people at Wahconah CC would tell us that we could not play. Boy, was I wrong. The people at Wahconah we’re all welcoming and extremely nice. The course, located in the Berkshires has a brook that meanders through Wahconah’s 18 beautiful holes and is quite magnificent. The views of the Berkshire mountains are quite splendid! I was lucky enough to put three extra good shots together on the dogleg left 15th and made a birdie, when I would have been quite content with what would have been my lone par. Then, to top off our round, my son, T-Bone made an incredible 12 foot downhill putt on number 18 for his lone birdie to send us home deliciously content! Thank You Wahconah and Thank You GOLFPASS.COM for a day I hope I will never forget
Excellent experience
Course was in outstanding condition especially considering the extremely wet July. Course is a solid balance of challenging holes with plenty of scoring opportunities . Pace of play was really good. We finished in 3.5 hours without rushing. . Greens were a challenge given undulations and speed , and yet rewarded solid execution. Uphill and downhill holes created interesting yet reasonable challenges re club selection . Staff was welcome . Good day. Look forward to next round .
BERKSHIRE BEAUTY
HUGE ACREAGE, WONDERFUL VIEWS. CAPACIOUS FAREWAYS BUT VERY CHALLENGING. WELL MAINTAINED EXCEPT BUNKERS NEED SAND. GOOD MENU AND CRAFT BEERS. PRICES IN THE PRO SHOP ARE LOWER THAN ANY I'VE SEEN (& I'VE GOLFED IN 30 STATES)
Decent Course
The course was not in very good shape. There has been a great deal of rain so the is no doubt the main factor. The greens were nice and quick a quote firm.
Heat don't stop me now
Despite a very hot day, a very fun round on a course that didn't suffer for the heat.
Numerous water fountains on the course were much appreciated.
Excellent choice if you are in the area!
My first time playing Waconah CC after having trying to get on over the past few years. Was pleasantly surprised that the course was such a pleasure to play. No two holes are alike and while the fairways are wide open each hole presented a challenge. The course was in great shape. The greens are large and offer many opportunities to score on. I give Waconah 5 stars. And certainly hope to play again when I am in the area.
