Got behind an outing…
…but staff did well to push them along. Front 9 had reasonable waits to tee off and the group cleared after 9. Course in good shape; liked the Ross features of elevated tees and greens with shelves. 17 and 18 were standouts to me. Would play again!
Pretty course!
Pretty course and the food and the bar are great!!!
Good start to the season
Over all was well. Play with friends , one of them second time ever playing. Course was ok for her.
I will be back.
Average course for high price
I paid $69 to play Merrimack Valley. At that price, I expected a course with great conditions. However, I was thoroughly disappointed in the conditions of the course. The greens were very bumpy and not consistent, the fairways were patchy, the sand traps were poor, and the tee boxes were atrocious. I really do not understand how so many other reviewers rate the conditions as Excellent or even Good.
Despite the conditions of the golf course, I did find the layout to be interesting. There are 5 par 5's and 7 par 3's so a par 70 overall. Most of the holes are really interesting with several holes having significant elevation changes and several holes with water hazards.
Given the unique layout of Merrimack Valley, I would like to be able to give it a higher overall rating. However, I cannot because of the course conditions.
April Fools Day before Snow
Solo player paired with Member; good pace of play; a little wet but at this time of year to be expected; 18 in under 2hrs, I walked and member drove; all staff very amicable; food was excellent after round. Recommend to all
Nice but windy
It was very impressive experiences to play this course.
Course & Staff are all very good. Only issue is strong wind.
Very Very Nice
5/2/24 played 18 @ Merrimack Valley and was pleasantly impressed with 1st - the staff ( Steve the starter ) was more than friendly and informative with course since our first time visiting, couldn’t have made a better impression. 2nd- the course … fairways and greens in great shape , some tee boxes getting worked on but it’s the beginning of the season . Good combination of long ( and the par 5’s are long ) and short but challenging holes .
Highly recommended
Great golf course
I played 3-4 times here and it's beautiful golf course.
Picturesque
This is such a nice course. For me it can be challenging as i've only been played 3 years. My only wish is that they update their carts to have wi-fi and computer screens as I love to play my music, but other than that it's a beautiful course.
Painful Pace
Beautiful day with some great guys to share a round of golf. Group in front was painfully slow, and no ranger to urge them along. At least 1 open hold ahead of them. No drink cart available, and would have liked at least some water - ran out. Course was in great shape, although greens aerated, so putting was tough - should discount on days when greens are in that condition.
Great fall golf
Wonderful views of the first and tenth tees. Fairways in very good shape. Greens were aerated and sanded about a week ago but still running ok. The restaurant serves great food, with friendly staff.
Golfing
Great course for playing the third time great beautiful course they take care of it
1st part of weekend
They started the 3 of us on 10 which is no big deal. When we made the turn they had 4 groups in front of us waiting to go off #1. From there people started taking their time because it was so slow and no place to go. Would recommend a weekday morning
Great Course, Great Staff.
I really enjoy playing this golf course, the staff is always very friendly and helpful. The greens were in great condition, and the course overall avoided any issues brought on by last nights rain. The big issue here is pace of play. First the 2 random people were paired with, refused to play with us, and instead played as a second group behind us which slowed the course down. Second, the group kept hitting 2 or 3 tee balls per person, so we waited behind them on every tee box. To sum it all up, love the course, love the staff, hate the people who slow it all down.
