Disappointing Customer Experience
Very disappointed with the customer experience recently at this golf course. Hickory Hill managements expect you to call the day before your tee time and prepay for the round which is not the generally accepted way of doing business.
If you don't prepay, they shame you in the pro shop and blame you for all of the "no-shows" they have experienced in the past. Wouldn't you keep track of the "no-shows" and not take their reservation in the future? Why punish all of your paying customers for the actions of a few?
None of the other golf courses require prepayment to hold a reservation, so I am not sure why they have this policy. Other courses provide an incentive to prepay such as a discount for buying 5 or 10 packs. It's disappointing that management at Hickory Hill is unwilling to listen to their customers about this unfriendly reservation policy.
There are a lot of golf courses in the area in the same category and price range. This poor customer experience will certainly lead to many customers taking their business elsewhere.
Classic New England Course
Plenty of trees and smallish greens make this course a classic New England feel. Not in the best shape, partly because of recent aeration but that was not the only factor. Greens were quick but choppy in places. Overall a great value for $60 on the weekend. Shot gun start that didn't take 5 hours was also a plus.
Decent Course
I've played this course a lot. It's a good track that has a longer but wide open front nine while the back nine is shorter and tighter off the tee. This course can be overplayed at times so the course conditions can be a bit beat up but it's a great walking course. Green fees are a bit overpriced however
Improved!
Major work being done on the course has me back! Must better than The over rated Trull Brook!
excellent conditions ! No more goose droppings
and great conditions !
Nice
Fun course with 2 different 9's
Front is more open and longer
The back is shorter and tight
