East at Warren Valley Golf Course

About
Warren Valley Golf Club offers two courses that are situated alongside the Rouge River, sprawling across rolling terrain that is studded with stands of mature trees. Opened in 1922, the East and West Courses represent two of Donald Ross' first designs in Michigan. The Scottish architect designed each with a traditional, player-friendly layout that still has plenty of challenges in store. The East Course is the longer of the two courses at 6,189 yards, but only by about 60 yards or so. There are four scenic holes on the golf course that incorporate the river. The fairways are generous but lined with trees and the open greens are fairly level in front, giving them an inviting feel. Bunkering is sparse on this golf course but you will be surprised by the amount of elevation changes that can be found throughout.

Beautiful for a November afternoon
I’m doing a cross country trip starting in ma and ending in ca Warren valley was fantastic I had a great time with a lovely staff that was very helpful in telling about both east and west 18 hole options. I played the west side and it was gorgeous.
Anytime of Year is Great at Warren Valley GC
I keep reviewing WVGC and saying how much I like this course and I consider it my home course. Even though I live in Royal Oak, it's well worth the drive once or twice a week to play these Donald Ross designed East and West courses.
My dream is to see the traps rebuilt and restored to the way Donald Ross laid them out in the 1920's.
Warren Valley East...Another Donald Ross Gem
I enjoy playing both East and West Courses here. West is my favorite though. Always a challenge. Staff is fantastic and makes my drive to Warren Valley always worthwhile.
Warren Valley...Another Donald Ross Gem
I love these two 18 hole Donald Ross-designed courses. However, there is one giant request I have. Restore and rebuild the sand traps to the way Donald Ross had them in the 1920's. The traps were restored and rebuilt at Roseland Golf & Curling Club in Windsor, Ontario a few years ago. The course is now fabulous and genuinely reflects Donald Ross' original layout. Filling in traps at any course to speed up play was never a great idea. Make Warren Valley Great Again!
Convenient location
This course is centralized and accessible. It has all the challenges you need.
Good Value
For the price point we recieved through golf now we were able to enjoy a great time golfing.

Nice Old Donald Ross course
Had been a long time since I was on this course. (23 years at least) This is one of the courses I would play when I was very young and learning the game. It was a great nostalgic round of golf. Playing from the back Blue Tees is the way to go. I actually played my best round that I've ever had there on this outing. Beautiful course to take your kid who is learning the game.

Classic
Love this course, from Smokey the starter who always starts our round off with positive vibes to the end of 18 this course is awesome.
Challenging yet not to hard for people like myself.

enjoyable
Their started to work on the traps; which is great with me! Thank You!
great day
Course was in great shape, bunkers need more sand but everything else was good. Great Day!!!!
Good value
This course is definitely nothing special, straight and open. But worth the $17 I spend. Greens were in good shapes, fairways were fine but long, tee boxes were nice, rough was fine. Enjoyed the open layout, hard to lose balls here. Would definitely recommend if you can get a hot deal here.
Fun time but look out!
It's pretty tight so get ready to yell fore and get ready to duck! All in all it was a fun day and you can't beat the price.
