Was a solid links course that has been sold for housing.
Absurdly slow leagues
Waited 23 minutes to play one hole because a foursome in a so-called ‘league’ wouldn’t let us play through. Avoid days when leagues are being played like the plague.
Stay away
Too much bad to write in one review. Course has potential with a decent layout, but everything else was horrible. Paid $30, max I would pay is $15. Carts are old and jerky. Cart paths are almost undrivable, yet the fairways are so bumpy that they are not much better. Tee boxes were so long it was like playing in your back yard. Fairways were an ok length, but the rough was also much too long. The greens were also in horrible conditions with crab grass everywhere and patches on just sand with no grass at all. The holes had either been in the same spot for forever, or whoever cut them has no clue what they are doing. Multiple putts lipped out because the edge of the hole was so rounded. Sand traps are an absolute joke, completed overgrown with crabgrass that they are almost unplayable. Bathroom at the turn was the most disgusting bathroom I’d ever been in. It was hard to breathe the stench was so bad. Needless to say I won’t recommend to anyone and personally won’t be back ever.
One and done kinda course.
Haven’t played this course in 7 years and figured it was time to try it again, and I have no issues not playing it for another 7 years. Tee boxes were so overgrown it was like teeing off in the rough, and sandboxes were over grown with grass ( zero rakes out there so foot prints and ball marks were plenty). Greens I’ll rate 3/5, some where good and some had bumps you had to putt through. What used to be a nice course for the money has gone way down hill and needs some serious revamping. Course has great potential and some really pretty layouts. Just needs a good cleanup.
Ok
Greens need allot of work and the sand pits are unplayable.
It’s a good ole boys club
I got it for $15 so I can’t really complain, but the league that started at 4 was all practicing on the back 9 which log jammed it because they were just cutting in front of us and 8-10 people would be playing the same hole it took forever. My friend and I started at 10 didn’t finish till almost 3. Local grandblanc I’m better than you members,so we can do what we want. Bunch of old retired guys playing 2 balls taking their time till 4. Staff was nice but the ranger was no help cause they were all pals. Course was in ok shape not worth more than $20 for 18.
Watch your back!
You get what you pay for with course conditions, but the cart was terrible. The break didn’t lock half the time and the accelerator didn’t work either. When it finally engaged you were literally slammed into the seat back, and in fact I actually hurt my back. I also got a cut on my leg from getting in and out, so watch your leg as well!
Hoping this one can bounce back
I always grab weekday rounds here. I like the course and design. Staff is great. I just feel due to the fact the government is paying people to stay home that they’re having a hard time hiring people to get the course in the shape it deserves to be in. Typical government tuning things per usual
Its pretty well kept for the price, greens are true. Just right for the price
