Bedford Valley Course at Gull Lake View Golf Club and Resort

About
Gull Lake View Golf Club and Resort boasts five championship courses, all of which have scenery provided by southwest Michigan's beautiful lake region. The golf course has a convenient location that is easily accessible from Detroit, Toledo, Chicago, Grand Rapids, and Lansing. It is a favorite spot for golfers throughout the Midwest and Great Lakes. Bedford Valley might be the most well known of the five since it has hosted numerous events over the years including the Michigan Open, Michigan Maxfli PGA Junior Championship, and the NCAA III National Championship. The golf course is known locally as "The Big Course." The aptly chosen nickname originates from the layout's massive greens bordered by large, deep bunkers and the fairways that are lined with towering, mature oaks. Golfers appreciate the course's shot values and the challenging but fair test it offers.

A remarkable track
I was so impressed by the condition of the entire course. This is truly a gem. Fantastic course.
Lots of Shots to Hit
Fun course with great changes in layout. Forces the longer hitter to utilize more clubs in the bag which I always appreciate. Rewards a good approach as well and accurate wedge play. Very accommodating staff which isn't surprising for a GLV resort course. Will glady play again.
Nice but no WOW!
We chose this course because it was part of the Gull Lakes Resort Collection but after playing it you will wonder why because the rest of the courses are beautiful and breathtaking and this course is an old school design that lacks any WOW factor. Don't get me wrong though as the fairways and greens are in impeccable condition and the bunkers have real sand and aren't gravel pits and there are lots of bunkers plus the greens are all very large. The front 9 is fairly wide open and the back 9 is more tree lined and tighter. If I lived within a half hour or less I would play it again. Would I drive an hour again to play it....no. Overall we had fun but no need to play it again.
Beautiful course
Very beautiful course. Green is very smooth. A little bit challenging.
Nice day for golf
I was very happy with the golf course. The front nine is open and the back is wooded. Fair holes but not easy.
Lots of potential
Played with a buddy on a weekend trip. We had one of the later tee times and due to the openness we we able to finish in three and a half hours. Wten we arrived it seemed like staff was less then pleased for us to be there. We were reluctantly given directions to the first tee. My friend called ahead and asked how long people would be allowed on the course and he was told 9pm. We were on the 17th hole at 8:15 when the same guy who checked in came and told us we had to chose one of the last two holes to play. He again reluctantly allowed us to continue on. The course itself is very fun and has a great layout. One thing we noticed on every green was the number of divots left by fellow golfers. That’s not even on the staff, that is on us. Overall I would come back and play Bedford Valley
Nice course
Nice course. Well maintained. Nice tee boxes for all tee colors. Mature trees, pretty course. Some holes are adjacent to each other but didn't feel crowded. We enjoyed our round and would happily play here again.
