In 2022 this course has improved greatly, check it out
I have played this course many times over the past 10 years on and off as things changed. The conditions got pretty bad the last couple years but it is close when I am up north and got a deal so gave it another try. They remodeled the inside now, the front is really nice and well staffed and friendly, the greens were great, I played the white course for the first time and loved it, I was on my own, no hurry and very beautiful. No to be clear, the sand traps are a mess and they are aware and have plans to clean them up but, otherwise a better course that seems to be getting love and money shown again.
Hidden Gem gone to crap
I've been playing this course 1-3 times per summer since 2000. With 27 holes and a great layout it was one of my favorites. As a 7 handicap it offers plenty of shot making challenges and course management is necessary, but my higher handicap friends still love the course because of it's incredible beauty. That being said - I don't know what's happened. Maybe it changed ownership....maybe they ran out of money...not sure but the course is in bad condition. The layout is still great, but the bunkers are in the worst shape of any course I've played, including courses that are charging way less. Prices have gone up in the last 5 years but the course conditions have gotten worse and worse. This is not a $60 golf course in these conditions. I hate it because this truly is a wonderful track when it's kept up - one of my favorites! I wish I knew what was going on here. You'll love the course design and setting .... They're hard to beat, but the course may be in rough shape and the guy running the counter when I was there was grumpy and rude. Not an inviting way to spend $60 on family vacation when they first guy you encounter makes you feel like you're a burden to have there. Maybe he was having a bad day. Also, he said their computers don't work with golf now, so he didn't have my tee time and triple booked. Waited 15 minutes beyond our tee time to tee off because 3 groups were in the tee.
Great course to play when you are up north
I have been playing this course on and off for years and went back on a great Golfnow deal. Love this place and the conditions are a little off in places and it is simple and toned down a bit in covid but, love it.

Overall well worth the price!
Nice course, the staff over watered and it was really wet. There was water in the holes and my feet got wet
Not much of a clubhouse. Nice little bar.
