About
Metamora Golf & Country Club is a championship course located in the northern suburbs of Detroit. The parkland layout has a beautifully rolling terrain that provides dramatic elevation changes throughout. The course has a balance of excellent shot values and interesting challenges that will appeal to players of all skill levels. The greens can be especially tricky since they are fast, undulating, and often putt downhill. There are numerous bunkers lurking around the greens and water hazards come into play on nearly every hole, 16 to be exact. Proper club selection and accurate shot placement will be generously rewarded but the golf course is not overly punishing if you're a little off your game. The signature hole is the par-5 third, which requires an approach shot to an island green.

Hated it
Blind tee shots on 10/18 holes I’d guess. Not even close to country club standards, or for the amount they charge. Much better golf in the area for way less money.
Blind shots
Not a fan of blind tee shots, I’d say 10/18 were blind. Booked as a solo, was told by clubhouse I’d be paired with 3 people, got to the starter he said if I was ready that I could go ahead. As I approached the tee box 2 groups of 3 arrived and the starter didn’t pair me up, which I’d normally love but it made my round feel so slow since no one let me play through.
Blind tee shots made it hard to know when you could hit and caused myself to get hit into several times. So many better courses in the area.
Fun, challenging course
Awesome mid week deal to play here. First time around the course and had a blast. Looking forward to playing out here again. The tips were challenging enough. Knowing the course will make for an even better time next round.

Great course, wickedly challenging greens and pin placement.
Very slow pace of play - but it was Memorial weekend Sunday, so that happens. 5.25 hour round for 18.
Overall a great, scenic, challenging course with any of the amenities you’d need.
Tough track.
We had 20mph wind & the course played very tough. The greens were firm & very fast.

Great course. Good condition. Challenging course that is fun and beautiful layouts for holes. Great golf now hot deal price for the course. Highly recommend. Blind shots on course. Big elevation changes.
