Nothing Special
This course is just OK; nothing particularly bad, but not worth going out of your way to play. The layout is a little quirky, requiring you to think about leaving driver in the bag on several holes. Staff is friendly. Course conditions were OK.
SL
The "Old Course" in Leelanau County...first 18 hole course. Lots of up and down hills. Course winds it way through some cherry orchards, forest. Greens are very fair and very undulating. My favorite course for the money in the Traverse City area. Watch out for hole 17. Long par five that finishes with an uphill shot that requires 3 extra clubs. Bring at least a half dozen extra balls until you learn where to hit or layup. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful!!
Plain good golf
While it's not its new companion on the other side of the hill, it's a pretty good track with a great layout. The front is definitely more interesting than the back, but both are very playable. There are times you'll be tested by the fairway undulations and the sloped greens, but you'll have fun playing here. If you're in the area, give it a shot.
